LONDON - It's what the art world has needed all this time: a painting of David
Bowie throwing up. That's one of 70 paintings Paul McCartney is displaying at
an art gallery in Liverpool, England.

It has the appropriate title of "Bowie Spewing."

McCartney says he and John Lennon used to skip school and go to that very art
gallery, and he says he told Lennon he'd have an exhibition of his own there
someday. The paintings are of landscapes, people, Celtic mythology and one of
Linda McCartney sunbathing. They date from 1987 to 2001.

McCartney says he's not trying to impress anybody but himself and he doesn't
read what the critics say. The exhibit runs through Aug. 1.

Thanks, Roscoe.

Did someone ask McCartney why he painted that? Is there bad blood between them?

Why not a painting of Yoko picking her nose?

As an aside, I'll take Bowie's songs over the Beatles', any day of the week.

Maybe it was an accident. Like, he spilled the paint on the canvas, or maybe
he vomited and made a mess, and then declared a serendipitous creation of
art. So he gave it a fancy title and declared, "I meant to do that!"
