If I were, would I ask about a weapon in a public forum? And, if I were,
I certainly wouldn't be looking at a nice, not-cheap, italian model for
something I was just going to have to throw in the ocean or bury
somewhere.
Unless of course you want us to believe no one would be crazy enough
to spend a small fortune on a "throwaway".

Uh.... That's the oldest trick in the book!
How is that a trick? First, you've wasted money for no good reason - on
a gun that will be discarded. Second, a gun that's more rare means that
it will be more conclusively connectable to the crime than one that's
available all over the place. Third, it's more identifiable.
What's the plus for an aspiring criminal?

But in all seriousness, everyone knows a scattergun makes a horrible
throwaway. To big, loud and bulky.

But it's harder to trace than a bullet shooter...
