While Howard's continuous plugging of Sirius is redundant and boring I
don't feel that suspending him serves Infinity's best interests in
Howard's final days on their stations. I think as the end comes nearer
you'll probably hear a little less plugging (oh but you'll definitely
hear some!) and more reflection on the 20 years that Howard has spent at
K-Rock. In a month it will all be over and both Infinity and Howard will
move on.You'd think that Howard would realize that putting out a funny
show would be the best advertising for his move to Sirius. Evidently
not... not even close. His unlistenable (and probably illegal) hard-sell
for the last 13 months has convinced Infinity they have nothing to fear
by leaving him on the air.

Falling ratings back this up... [Howard Stern's] audience is heading for
the door well in advance of Howard movie to Sirius. Who can blame them?
He insults their intelligence daily with his self-serving rants about,
so-called, persecution by the FCC/government/religious right,
interrupted by blatantly set-up calls from asskissers.

As Howard got lazier over the years, his show got more "obscene", for
lack of a better word. That's all. And yet he promises more of the same
when he gets to satellite radio... gee, where do I sign up?

I think it's pretty obvious at this point that Infinity figured that the
best advertisement for NOT buying satellite radio was to leave Howard on
the air for the duration of his contract. In its current state, the show
is almost completely devoid of laughs. It's painful to listen to... the
monotony broken only occasionally by the untalented, low-paid "staff"
making phony phone calls.

The most ironic thing to consider is that the reasons Howard has been
dropped in so many markets have nothing to do with the FCC and religious
right. These reasons are:
1) Ratings are too low to justify Howard's legendary fees.
2) Shilling for the competition.

What a top-notch journalist Chaunce is. He actually took a couple of my
e-mails, chopped them up, and added phony names and addresses. "Phil"
is actually one of the phony names I used, but certainly not with the
comments he attributed.
But who cares... Chaunce got the message out, like I knew he would. In
a form that's guaranteed to reach Hmus. I love it... it's so rare to
break through the asslicker shield around Howard.

tomorrow, and stopped paying Howard, forcing him back to broadcast radio
(a very real possibility for the near future), you'd rip satellite radio
