Ammattilaiset haluavat usein myös jälkikasvustaan työnsä jatkajia.
Yritysmaailma on pullollaan työstä ylpeitä isältä pojalle siirrettyä
sukuosaamista. Mutta yksi ala loistaa poissaolollaan. Yksikään ydinalan
ammattilainen ei kehu firmaansa julkisesti netissä, lehdissä, ei edes asiaa
kyselevälle lapselleen. Jos katsomme ketkä julkisuudessa ydinlobbailevat,
niin yhtään alan ammattilaista ei taatusti näy lehtiotsikoissa, netissä
saati mualla. Vain rahalla ostettavia politikkoja ja vastaavia, jotka eivät
erota uraania hiilimustasta taatusti.
Rupesin todella ihmettelemään miksi. Ja ennenkaikkea KETKÄ ovat maassamme
nykyään ydinalan ammattilaisia? Heitä on maassamme tietysti tuhansittain,
mutta keitä? Heille on yhteinen piirre se, ettei näillä ole esim.
perustuslakiemme mukaista lakko-oikeutta, kellään! Toinen keskeinen piirre
on niinikää lainvastaiset ylipitkät jopa 12h työvuorot ja loputtomat
ylityöjaksot vailla omaa päätäntäoikeutta. Kolmas ominaisuus on tekemänsä
työn arkaluontoisuus, mikä tarkoittaa orjallista vaitiololupauspakotetta
uhkailu-ukaaseineen ydinjohdolta. Esim. OL-1,OL-2 ja OL-3 työmailla ei
KETÄÄN saa mennä vapaasti jututtamaan tekemisistään ja määräys on ehdoton,
vaikka maamme pitäisi olla demokratia. Mikä kertoo myös alan valonarkuudesta
ja hämäryydestä enemmän kuin paljon.
Niinikää ydintyöläisten palkkataso on enmemmän kuin romahtanut loistonsa
päivistä. Jos lasketaan Suomen ydintyöläisten ansiotasot saadaan tyytyä jopa
7 euron tuntipalkkoihin! Reippaasti alle jopa siivoojaminimistä puhutaan
ydinalan ammattilaisistamme keskimäärin kautta maamme! Kun vielä 70-luvulla
ydinosaaja oli huippupalkkalainen ja arvostettu, on hän tänään lähinnä
kansan hyljeksimä reppupuolalainen, liettualaisorja, turkkilainen, yms.
joita katsotaan pitkin nenänvartta, jopa kaupan kassalla, koska heitä
arvotetaan toki myös olemattoman orjapalkkaostovopimansa mukaan
olemattomuuksiin. Ja tieto siitä, että suurin osa ei maksa edes veroja,
saati sotuja ja vastaavia alentaa tasoa mutasarjaan kansan silmin.
Vaarallisesta työstä johtuvat moninkymmenkertaiset sairastumisriskit
työtapaturmista, kielitaidottomuutensa takia tulee valtavasti
onnettomuuslisäriskejä, samoin kouluttautumattomuuksistaan, säteilystä ja
vastaavista lisäriskeistä kiistatta puhutaan ydintyöläisissä. Hyvällä ei
näihin pitkälti "slummiparakeissaan "huuhaileviin" ydinorjin suhtauduta enää
edes harmistuneitten kauppiaitten piirissä. Säteilyvaaransa takia heillä on
normaalityöläisiä ankarammat
lääkärintarkastusvaateet jne. Ydintyöläiselle on kauhistus , jos lapsensa
tulisivat samaan työhön jatkajiksi.Voi vaan hämmästellä kuinka nopeasti
ydinalan mega-arvostus on romahtanut nykyiseen mitäänsanomattomuuteensa.
heijastellen sitä pettymystä mitä ydinvoiman loisteliaitten lupausten
romahdettua tshernobyliin on tuottanut. Voi vaan arvailla, että kuinkan näin
totaalisen pettymyksen ala saa enää jatkossa KETÄÄN kiinostumaan sen
ylläpidosta?

I've had one experience with a lightning set grass fire in my life,
about a 1/2 mile from the house here. I reported it, they came out
and were hosing it down. I told them I live right over there and
since there was no obvious source of ignition they kinda began to look
at me a little suspiciously.
Didn't Sagan and associates determine that the fires set all over the
Earth from Human Folly III would do more harm than the blast of the
bombs themselves?

OK. I tried to go back and see what you've said about Melanie before
and I can't find anything too definite. So, this is a pretty
prominent subject with you - I did find back in March you had said
that you're thinking of her. So-----without prying or anything----

study up on them. But there's so many things to do. It's like Future
Shock - you go into a store for bread, there's 100 different brands,
so you go home without bread in frustration. Computers are good with
that dilemma, however, by just picking one at pure random.

eyes and pay for whatever I want, as long as it's no more that a couple

Here, at the H. E. Butt stores (the biggie guys), you can get run of
the mill wheat bread for like 87 cents/loaf. Anything better is a lot
higher.

Dude! You must have some hidden subsidy unavailable to me. That loaf of
organic whole wheat & honey bread sets me back $4.50 at the farmers market.
Fresh corn showed up for the first time this year last weekend, two ears
for a buck. Sucker that I am, I got 4 ears. I just ate the first one. It
was good.

This is not organic, though, and it's the HEB brand, and it's not
whole wheat but regular wheat, but for someone who's not too picky,
say a poor family, it's a deal.

I gotta remember to see what the cheap bread down at Safeway costs. We
need to compare apples with apples here. Some breads I gotta have four
slices of to feel full. The one I get at the farmers market isn't like
that. Two slices is plenty. I feel full until lunch time on them.

After my last record player bit the dust and I decided not to try and
keep one going, I went through and bought like 20 CD's to replace the
most desired LP's. It remained that way for along time until Napster
came along and my brother-in-law was into that and I made a list of
like 30 songs which I wanted which weren't on the CD's but were on the
LP's and he got those. So that's pretty much where it stood. I have
bought a few more CD's, but I've never gotten into downloading songs
at a buck apiece or whatever it is. I guess I just never hear
anything worth bothering with. We have some good FM stations here
which if listened to have a good variety.
My BIL said he didn't consider Napster to be stealing, all he was
doing was getting clean versions of songs to replace old scratched up
ones.

ones. Most of them are forgettable, but every now and then I find a gem.

I'm just slow to try new things. I got Mona an I-phone to replace her
failed plain cell phone, but we've never bothered to get the web going
on it or download any music. I think it was about 5 years after VCR's
came out that someone finally cajoled me into getting one.

Dude! Free music! I would say download this weeks just so you know the
technology works right. Actually, this week it wasn't so good, but who
knows about next week? Middle of the week I download the latest. Takes
an hour or so on dialup, but why not?

Yeah. Back in '98 I was helping this Democrat run for Congress. She
didn't get it about the whole "breaking the law" on the internet thing.
I downloaded that song while she watched and then played it for her.
reminding her several times during the experience that we were breaking
the law. She found it all very interesting. I was glad the band was "Green".

out of the sand spontaneously and played with each other and were
finally destroyed by a sandstorm. I remember what you said at the end:
"This is what we were meant to do - to play until we die."
I'm getting more and more of a sense that that's literally true right
now, especially with the advent of the web, making "playing" so much
easier. We play and play until we die. And it's not all fun play -
like in the book "Games People Play", some of the "play" involves
serious, grim interactions.

I'm finding that if I cant get to it that I'm at a bit at a loss for
something to do, and that's a bit scary. Also, it seems to me that if
you get crosswise with someone on th web , that's it - it's a
permanent situation. People stereotype you, they don't believe
anybody can ever change. So you see rivalries lock-in forever , and
go round and round, an endless loop. But then, there's never been
