I don't recall seeing this information anywhere in this newsgroup, but
y'all should check out the Wikipedia pages regarding Harry Potter and
everything related. It is a very clear and concise listing of the
facts as they are known to this point in time (the end of Half-Blood
Prince).

Mmm... I use mostly Wiki as a reference (not only in Potterian stuff).
So far, what I've seen of Potter is pretty much accurate and concise, as
you point out. I've also corrected couple of stuff about certain
characters that were out of date, which lead us to think how many other
stuff some radical fans (or shippers) might do.

But yes, Wiki is a good way to start for someone who has no idea about
HP and it's in the beginning.

Hmmm interesting stuff, however you must realise the public are able to
edit wikis entries so a few minor misinterpretations might occur, but
nonetheless it is very clear indeed

Yes, especially if you read how Harry, Ron, and Hermione die in the list of
"Recurring characters in the 'Harry Potter' series". I think someone had a
little fun with this part, considering we have no idea yet as to who is
going to die.

Kilroy was here.

Wikipedia (or triviapedia as it should be called) may be viewed with
interest but the information it contains should always be treated with
extreme caution.

I go there to know the "meaning" of the subject I am looking for, yet, I
mostly follow the links, some of the follow to some official sites which
is good when you look for technological information. OTOH, it is helpful
when it's otherwise, sometimes the information is way too much
overloaded but doesn't say a precise meaning. I use WIki when I have
those problems.

*ALL* encyclopedias should be treated with extreme caution.

Actually I was surprised how good Wikipedia is. Edited by "anyone" I assumed
it was going to be very bias. I think it's quite self correcting... if
someone adds info which is not true or overly bias... someone else will
challenge it. With a traditional encyclopedia there is a much smaller group
of "editors" and there is more chance of them having the same bias.

So I knew I was going to hate Wikipedia but was surprised and now its my
most trusted [but I still use it with caution].

I believe that Harry, Ron and Hermione will live. Why? When she was

use them?'. This slip-up makes me believe that the trio will survive
intact.

I don't believe she makes slipups.

Perhaps, but that doesn't make wikipedia any more accurate than it
already isn't. :-)
