Subject: Rupert Grint on today's Big breakfast
Hi, Just to say rhar I sceen a piece about a new movie called Thunderpants
on this Mornings Big Breakfast put rupert grint.  I was in a bit of a rush
to get out so I don't recall much that was said.  I do remeber that he is a
sidekick but he did get as much time in the piece as the main star.  he did
seem to sound diffrent than I remember at the press conferance but he did
look different.  His hair was really curly and he was wearing these odd
sixties librarian style glasses.  As I said I can't remember much but I did
get this from: http://www.thebrits.com/news.html
THUNDERPANTS
Daily Variety reported in January that Britain's Pathe Pictures had
scheduled an April shooting date for the $7 million comedy "Thunderpants,"
which it described as the story of "an 11-year-old boy whose amazing ability
(to break wind) leads him first to fame and then to death row, before it
helps him to fulfill his ambition of becoming an astronaut." [Daily Variety,
1-11-01]
I'll see if I can get more info on the film.

I have managed to find this For Empireonline:
http://www.empireonline.co.uk/news/news.asp?3151
Ron Weasley's Pants
30/05/2001
Fiery-haired Ron Weasley from Harry Potter and The Philosopher's Stone will
be making his CV a little more muggle-friendly with his next project. Having
saved the world as the best friend of the world's most famous wizard, Rupert
Grint will be starring as best friend to a boy with the world's most famous
bottom in Thunderpants.
Directed by Borrowers director Peter Hewitt, the film charts the unlikely
fortunes of Patrick Smash and his finesse at focused flatulence. Smash and
his friend Alan Allen (Grint) dream of fame and stardom, a dream first
realised when Smash uses his 'gift' to win a non-assisted flight
competition. Going on to fill in an opera singer's high notes with his
arse-oriented symphony, Smash inadvertently causes the singer's death and
finds himself sentenced to death for the crime. But can even prison stand in
the way of this anally obsessed youth's dream of becoming an astronaut?
A £5 million film, drawing on £2 million award from the Film Council Lottery
Franchise, Thunderpants also stars Stephen Fry, Celia Imrie, Simon Callow
and Ned Beatty.
Thanks to Newsround.

I also found  out that he is on the books of PFD which is "one of Europe's
leading literary and talent agencies " his agent is Chris Harris  under the
Actors Department.  Interesting to note that  Ian Hart is also on the books
of  PFD(http://www.pfd.co.uk/)
-I xan't see any pictures  of grint as Alan Allen  as yet
