So what, he could also as well go to St.Mungo's and ask to be put to
euthanasia, because he tried to destroy a Voldemort horcrux.

Curious, some of these cross-postings, suggesting Harry Potterisms arise in
all sorts of situations in other groups...

But this one reminds me what a shame it was that the OotP film didn't
include any scenes from St Mungos. There were loads of opportunities for
laughs (despite it being a hospital) and providing another perspective on
the wizarding world - and some opportunities for CGI too! But all we got was
Arthur - in a very poorly written and directed scene, IMHO - appearing in
the kitchen having been discharged...

Well it's desire to compress movies to two hours. Are there "extended"
versions of the HP films, like the "Extended" DVDs for LotR? IMHO, a
minimum of three hours is necessary to do justice to OotP.

Which as has been suggested you could edit into the full movie if you
presumably ripped it first and then made a new DVD (though for some reason,
PCs in my experience don't seem to be able to fit anywhere near as much
footage on a dvd as commercially available ones, even though they seem to be
better quality?)

Anyway, I find it very odd that Director's Cut/Special Editions are a
potential route to more money NOW (look at LOTR) yet Warner Bros aren't
tapping into it? I don't see why they'd wait till the very end of the series
to release them as the hype will be over then - I'd've thought they'd make
more money releasing them now. Although I have seen some special editions
1-5 with extra deleted scenes so perhaps that is their plan? (If so, I think
it's a crap one - and poorly thought out!)
