May I propose a little experiment?

Take three authors, say in this case they are HE, Phillip K Dick and
Howard Phillips Lovecraft. Ask these questions:

i. Whose works have been converted into cinematic works, and which
stories?

ii. Whose works have been converted into video games, and which
stories?

iii. Which author has created the least delible following? Explain.

iv. Which author is most loved?

Take your time, this test will be judged on quality.

You don't know your Ellison very well do you, but admittedly, where
the word occurs is a relatively obscure short story.
