Damn it, why did you have to have either such a top-of-the-line
computer or such lame-arsed and tasteless burglars in your parts? Hope
they didn't take anything that couldn't be replaced.

Man, what a load. Hope your insurance buys it all back and you didn't
lose anything on the machine. That reminds me, time to backup and put
the DVDs in a freakin' bank vault.

It helps to think of how poor and unfortunate these burglars are, how
much more blessed by life you have been, and how pointless their
existence is that they have to steal from their fellow citizens in
order to satisfy that emptiness. And then smile and think about how
much they deserve it.

I'm finding I'm very unhappy not having Google at my fingertips at
home, can't take a glance at the weather, can't do anything. I suppose
I ought to go and buy one of those digital converter boxes so I can
watch TV. No, they didn't take my TV or stereo because they're so
old.
And I'm holding off on a computer until Win 7 is released.

Sadly, I haven't backed up my computer since May so I lost the last
pictures of Matilda, and the first ones of Isabelle. And I lost some
paperwork. The computer is already 5 years old, and everything was
password protected, so chances are they're going to heave it in a
dumpster somewhere, which really, really sucks.

I have a $500 deductible, which was pretty much eaten up by getting a
new door and having it installed. I know they won't give me what that
computer cost, but since prices have dropped, I'm hoping it's enough
to get something comparable. They got my digital camera, too, and I'm
hoping I can afford to replace it at a comparable level, too.

Well, that sounds ... okay? That's the problem with getting things
like computers replaced or insured, you can get a new machine easily
enough but that's never going to account for its real value.

Not much royal blood over there in the States. You all saw to that a

Nobody had ever seen Jesus but most people accepted his Divinity.
Outside of coastal plain Virginia the country was very bourgoise, and
inside of Virginia they had oddities like Tom Paine and Tom Jefferson.
Not to mention George Washington. John Adams was clearly a product of
republican New England, but how aristocratic Virginia produced those
three libertarians is one of the more fortunate and mysterious
oddities of American history.
None of those four accepted the divinity of Jesus, either.

Some of them were caught, but none of my stuff was recovered.
They were apparently part of a gang that shifted to different
parts of the state when it got too hot in the one they were
robbing. They were caught because they were trying to impress
some girls who lived not too terribly far from me. Seems they
started stealing sheets and other expensive home accoutrements
from a very upscale neighborhood for the girls, and a friend of
one of the girls turned them in to the police.
I now have another dog who barks and manages not to look
friendly, so I'm hoping that and the lack of prescription drugs
and bling they found in my house will discourage more break-ins.
Although I'm sure they had a faboo time with my dog's thyroid
medication that they stole.
