I missed the program(me) "Growing Up with the Goons" and it's been purged
from the Radio 2 archive. Is there somewhere out there to find it on a
stream or for download?

Sadly the question framing craftsmen are fast disappearing as are the
cabinet makers and the French polishers.

There is this:
http://www.apprenticeships.org.uk/Types-of-Apprenticeships/Engineering-and-Manufacturing-Technologies/Furniture-Furninshings-and-Interiors-Industry.aspx
but there is nary a mention of question framers.

Minnie: I've never been French polished. Have you Henry?

Henry: Oh, you sinful woman you. Put that beeswax away.

As Zaphod Beeblebrox would say, you two have been a whole lot of no help.
(It's like trying to talk to mischievious children who need a good swat
across their backsides.)

You might have a look at alt.binaries.sounds.radio.bbc

I downloaded a recording of the show there and will post it for those
of you who would like to have it.

Especially when it mostly comes from Afghanistan and goes Bannnnngggggg!!
when you get it home. Then you need kneeswax to soothe your mid-leg joints
if it went off too low down.

You really mastic to shellac!
