No year given: YASUHIRO TAKATO, who was the voice of Rajiel/Memmi on
"Magic Squadron Magiranger", is born in Okayama, Japan.

1926: LYN OSBORN, who played Sgt. Taylor in "The Amazing Colossal
Man", is born in Wichita Falls, Texas.

1929: WILLIAM L. STEVENSON, sound effects editor on the U.S. version
of “King Kong vs. Godzilla”, is born.

1939: SHINICHI "SONNY" CHIBA is born in Fukuoka. He played Ironsharp/
Space Chief in "Invasion of the Neptune Men", Dr. Yamatone in "The
Golden Bat", Ken in "Terror Beneath the Sea", Hans in "Message from
Space", Lt. Yoshiyaki Iba in "G.I. Samurai", and Dr. Yamauchi in
"Virus", but is best known for the ultraviolent "Streetfighter" films
and "Kill Bill Vol. 1". Also appearing on "Robot Detective", he
founded the Japan Action Club, which provided the stunts and action
scenes for many Toho and Toei shows.

1954: CRAIG MILLER, writer on "Godzilla: The Series", is born in Los
Angeles.
FUMIYO KOHINATA, who played Professor Kaneda on "Ringu: The Final
Chapter", Dr. Kawajiri in "Ringu 2", Kunio Hamada in "Dark Water", Dr.
Kozuki in "Casshern", and Akio Yamane in “20th Century Boys 1:
Beginning of the End”, “20th Century Boys 2: The Last Hope”, and “20th
Century Boys 3: Redemption”, is born in Mikasa, Hokkaido.

1962: DAVID ARNOLD, co-composer on "Godzilla", is born in Luton,
England.

1966: Episode 4 of "Ultra Q", "The Mammoth Flower", debuts on Japanese
TV.

1967: Episode 30 of "The Space Giants", "Monster Teravarden vs.
Scramble" a.k.a. "Terror from East to West", debuts on Japanese TV.

SCOTT PETERS, who played Sgt. Lee Carter in "The Amazing Colossal
Man", dies at 63.

1997: HARDY RAFN, who was in "Reptilicus", dies in Denmark.

1999: "Shikoku" and “Ringu 2” (“The Ring 2”) are released in Japan.

2004: “Azumi” premieres in the U.S. at the Sundance Film Festival.

2008: "Dragon Wars" premieres in Sweden on DVD.
PHILLIP J. ROTH, co-producer of “The Grudge 3”, divorces his
third wife, Ralitsa Ginovska.

2009: "Great Decisive Battle! The Super 8 Ultra Brothers" is released
on DVD and Blu-ray in Japan.
“20th Century Boys 1: Beginning of the End” premieres in the U.S.
