1901: KANEMON NAKAMURA, who played Kannai the guard in the "In a Cup
of Tea" segment of "Kwaidan", is born in Tokyo.


1902: BRONISLAU KAPER, who composed the music for "Them!", is born in
Warsaw. He also scored "San Francisco", "Gaslight", "The Brothers
Karamazov", "Lord Jim", "Butterfield 8", "Mutiny on the Bounty", and
"Auntie Mame".


1910: DAVID SHARPE, stuntman and second unit director on "Mighty Joe
Young", is born in St. Louis, MO. He was an actor and stuntman in such
films as "The Thief of Baghdad", "Masked Emotions", "Daredevils of the
Red Circle", "Texas to Bataan", "Trail Riders", and "Haunted Ranch",
and the TV series "Adventures of Wild Bill Hickok", "The Red Skelton
Show", “Star Trek”, and "The F.B.I."


1952: NOBORU SHINODA, cinematographer on "Shikoku", is born in
Saitama, Japan.

1969: Episode 21 of “Operation: Mystery” debuts on Japanese TV.


1973: Episode 18 of "Warrior of Love Rainbowman", "Hoshikko
Catastrophic Change", debuts on Japanese TV.
Episode 44 of "Transforming Ninja Arashi" debuts on Japanese TV.


1974: Episode 38 of "Kikaida 01", "Deadly Gambit: Three-Way
Bloodbath!", debuts on Japanese TV.
Episode 51 of "Kamen Rider V3", "You Are Kamen Rider 4!!", debuts
on Japanese TV.
"Kikaida" premieres in the U.S. on KIKU-TV in Hawaii.


1975: Episode 18 of "Army of the Apes", "Why Are Humans Gone?", debuts

1980: RAY HEINDORF, musical director on "Them!", dies in Tarzana,
Calif.

1985: THOMAS RASADA, who did special effects on "Godzilla", marries
his wife, Joyce Ann.

“Dengeki sentai Chenjiman” (“Blitzkrieg Squadron Changeman”)
premieres on Japanese TV.


1991: Episode 213 of "Mystery Science Theater 3000", featuring
"Godzilla versus the Sea Monster", debuts on Comedy Central.


1996: Episode 45 of "Superpower Squadron Ohranger", "Collapse!! The
Super-Power Base", debuts on Japanese TV.
"Ikenie" ("Sacrifice") a.k.a. "Doll from Hell" is released in
Japan.

2005: "The Grudge" is released in Belgium.

2007: "The Host" and the U.S. version of "Pulse" are released in
Spain.
