used in "Bambi Meets Godzilla", dies in Ruelle, France.

1895: EDWARD L. ALPERSON, executive producer of the U.S. releases of
"The Human Vapor" and "The Last War", is born in Omaha. The founder of
Grand National studios, he also produced “Great Guy” and “Something to
Sing About”.

1906: OSAMU TAKIZAWA, who played the author/narrator in the "In a Cup
of Tea" segment of "Kwaidan", is born in Tokyo.

1913: HELEN MACK, who played Hilda in "Son of Kong", is born in Rock
Island, Ill.

1928: CLIFFORD A. PELLOW, who was in the U.S. version of "Tidal Wave",
is born in Windsor, Ont.

1930: TAN TAKAIWA, co-producer on “Message from Space”, is born in
Fukuoka.

1945: RAY WOOLF, who played the Venture helmsman in the 2005 remake of
"King Kong", is born in the United Kingdom.

1952: JOSH HAKIAN, who did the additional special effects and reshoots
on the U.S. version of "Pulse", is born in Tel Aviv, Israel.
