1914: BILL FINGER, co-writer of "The Green Slime", is born in New York
City. He also helped Bob Kane create Batman, and died in February,
1974.

1922: WILLIAM COOPER, editor and feature conceiver on the U.S.
releases of "Mighty Jack", "Time of the Apes", “Fugitive Alien” and
“Star Force: Fugitive Alien II”, is born.

1951: HIROTARO HONDA, who played Mr. Saito in "Gamera: The Guardian of
the Universe" and "Gamera 3: Revenge of Irys", and Mr. Kogure in
"Pyrokinesis", is born in Ibaragi, Japan. He was also in "Kamen Rider:
The First" and "The Sword of Alexander".

1952: DAISUKE GORI, narrator on "Rescue Task Force Go Go V", is born
in Tokyo.

1953: CLIFF CLARK, who played police guard Moran in "Mighty Joe
Young", dies from a heart attack in Hollywood.

1956: VERA LEWIS, who played a woman in the theater audience who
screamed when "King Kong" escaped, dies in Woodland Hills, Calif.

1957: DOUGLAS J. SCHULMAN, second unit sound mixer on "Godzilla", is
born in San Francisco.

1963: KAZUYA KONAKA, director on "Ultraman Zearth 2", "Ultraman Tiga &
Ultraman Dyna", "Ultraman Gaia: The Battle in Hyperspace", "Ultraman:
The Next", "Ultraman Nexus", “Ultraman Mebius”, and "Ultraman Mebius
and Ultra Brothers", is born in Tokyo.

1972: HIROSHI TSUCHIDA, who played the Blue Ranger on "Ninja Squadron
Kakuranger", is born.

1974: Episode 19 of "Diamond Eye: Warrior of Light", "King Cobra's
Great Revival", debuts on Japanese TV.

1975: Episode 17 of "Kamen Rider Amazon", "The Terror of Zero! The
Massive Earthquake Strategy!!", debuts on Japanese TV.

1980: Episode 19 of "Sky Rider", "Ookamijin's Murder's Cry", debuts on
Japanese TV.

1982: SOSUKE TAKAOKA, who was in "Tetsujin 28", is born in Tokyo.

1985: MARVIN MILLER, who narrated "The Deadly Mantis" and the U.S.
release of "Godzilla Raids Again", dies of a heart attack in Los
Angeles.
TOM GREENWAY, who played the second reporter in "The Deadly
Mantis", dies of a heart attack in Los Angeles.
ANNA HUTCHINSON, who played Lily Chilman the Yellow Cheetah
Ranger on "Power Rangers Jungle Fury", is born in New Zealand.

1994: Episode 42 of Season 1 of "Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers", "A
Pig Surprise", debuts on Fox.

1996: Episode 37 of Season 3 of "Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers", "The
Alien Trap", debuts on Fox.

2005: "Ringu 2" premieres in Indonesia on TV.
"Godzilla versus the Sea Monster" is released on DVD in the U.S.

“Azumi 2: Death or Love” has its world premiere in Tokyo.

2006: AKIRA IFUKUBE, composer on many Godzilla and other Toho sci-fi
films and creator of Godzilla's trademark roar, dies at 91 of multiple
organ failure in Tokyo.

2007: The U.S. version of "Pulse" is released in Hungary.
“D-War” a.k.a. "Dragon Wars" has its world premiere at the
European Film Market in Germany.

2008: The U.S. version of "One Missed Call" is released in Latvia and
Estonia.
"Cloverfield" is released in Brazil, Norway, and Sweden.
