1925: WILLIAM HUDSON, who played Dr. Paul Lindstrom in "The Amazing
Colossal Man", is born in Gilroy, Calif.
1942: TAKESHI OBAYASHI, who was in "Ultraman Leo" and "Godzilla 2000",
is born in Okayama, Japan.
1943: JULIE BENNETT, who dubbed the female voices in "King Kong
Escapes", is born in Beverly Hills, Calif.
1944: KOJI WADA, who played Mashida in "Gappa the Triphibian Monster",
is born in Ibaraki, Japan.
1949: JOHN BELUSHI, who hosted NBC's presentation of "Godzilla vs.
Megalon" in 1977, is born in Chicago. An original cast member of
"Saturday Night Live", he starred in the films "National Lampoon's
Animal House" and "The Blues Brothers".
RIHOKO YOSHIDA, the voice of Darunia on "Akumaizer 3", is born in
Tokyo.
1954: YOICHI MIURA, who played Manabu Nonaka in "G.I. Samurai", is
born in Iwakura-shi, Aichi, Japan.
1955: MASAAKI TEZUKA, who directed "Godzilla vs. Megaguirus",
"Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla", "Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S.", and
"Samurai Commando Mission 1549", is born in Tochigi, Japan. A former
assistant director on "Virus", "Sayonara Jupiter", "Princess from the
Moon", "Rebirth of Mothra II", and "Rebirth of Mothra III", he also
directed composite footage on "Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah: Giant
Monsters All-Out Attack", co-wrote GMMG, and put in cameos in GMK (as
an SDF officer) and GMMG.
1964: HOUKA KINOSHITA, who played the Moguera pilot in "Godzilla vs.
Space Godzilla", Kanmu Ten'nou in "Onmyoji", and Kisaragi Saemon of
the Koga clan in "Shinobi", is born in Osaka. He was also in "Doll
from Hell", the "Shokki" story in "School of Ghosts G", and "Isola".
1968: Episode 43 of "Masked Ninja Red Shadow", "Vampire Monster
Gizorun", debuts on Japanese TV.
1986: YUKI ITO, who played Makito Ozu a.k.a. Magi Green on "Magic
Squadron Magiranger", "Magic Squadron Magiranger the Movie: Bride of
Infershia", and "Magic Squadron Magiranger vs. Dekaranger", is born in
Japan. He was also in "Battle Royale II".
JOE WOODYARD, who playd the bullet wound victim in the U.S.
version of "One Missed Call", is born in Marietta, Geo.
1988: Episode 16 of "Kamen Rider Black", "Friend! Cross the Sea and
Come Here!", debuts on Japanese TV.
1999: SHIZUKE NATSUKAWA, who played Taira no Tokiko in the "Hoichi the
Earless" segment of "Kwaidan", dies in Tokyo.
2002: "Pulse" premieres in the Netherlands at the International Film
Festival Rotterdam.
2003: "The Ring" premieres in the Czech Republic at the Febio Film
Festival.
Episode 2 of the “Sky High” series debuts on Japanese TV.
2004: BILL BALL, technical director on "Godzilla", marries his wife,
Hazel.
2005: Episode 3 of “Shibuya Fifteen” debuts on Japanese TV.
2007: "The Grudge 2" is released in Belgium.
2008: "Cloverfield" is released in the Netherlands, Peru, Portugal,
Russia, and South Korea.
2009: Episode 4 of "Kamen Rider Dragon Knight", "A Rider's Challenge",
debuts on the CW Network.
"Engin sentai Goonger tai Gekiranger" ("Engine Squadron Go-onger
vs. Gekiranger") is released in Japan.
