That's it exactly. They (Doc when he was alive and Melissa now) are
not giving the full council of God, and think it is theirs to pick and
choose what parts of God's Word is applicable. Anything that convicts
them is held as not inspired.

she sees her plans coming together. She's feeling the power and excitment
of it all and expresses it as arrogance. That's what I think.
