There's a big stink going on ALF about SqueeRat's new site:

http://members.aol.com/clckwrkgod/tester.html

Appearently she has dared to speak her mind on animal shamanism,
zoophilia, plushophilia and several other things that have glommed onto
the title of 'furry.'
A refreshing change, if you ask me, and worth checking out!

Hey, GothTiger, how is it that you managed to stick me with the label of
'troll', but when a good friend of mine who happens to be a bit more
well-known goes off and says pretty much the same thing, save with some
elaboration, it becomes a 'refreshing change'? As I said before, fuck you.
But be sure to buy the next issue of Mongrel, which she's lined up to
contribute to.

Perhaps the difference is that your friend is more articulate than you
are and that she is only grossly stereotyping certain segments of the
furry population instead of rabidly attacking everyone.

Either way it accomplishes nothing but generating rotten feelings.

Why do we never get an answer
When we're knocking at the door
With a thousand-million questions
About hate and death and war?
'Cause when we start to look around us
There is nothing that we need
In a world of persecution
That is burning in its greed.

Don't get down about it, Root... If it makes you feel any better, you've
earned my
grudging respect and I've actually been know to defend you to people on
occasion.
Meanwhile, for all the empty name-calling and half-baked pseudopsychology on
her site, Squee has landed herself firmly on my probation list until she
does like
you, and proves she can argue calmly and logically if she feels like it.
Labelling
groups of which she disapproves as "twitching crack babies"... That's a
tactic I
associate with playground fights in the 4th grade, not intelligent public
debate.

A refreshing change yes! But at what cost??? (sigh!) I can't even begin to
think when this wholesale bashing started, or why it has caused so many folks
to jump in on the bandwagon. In a span of about two years I have seen what
started for me as a friendly group of people with common interests turn real
ugly real fast! Sad, I can't get angry because these folks are only speaking
their mind. I can't be happy because it is disrupting what little peace some
folks find from the day to day grind of the Real World! I can only feel sad
because the whole affair has reacted badly on just about everyone.

As for the person who created the page itself. I hold no hard feelings at
all. The truth hurts. I am starting to see dark times ahead for the fandom.
Perhaps this so-called witch hunt is need, to so-call purge the ranks of
undesirables. All I am going to ask is this...

What's Next?? Are we going to bash those who are different from the rest due
to race, creed, religion, sex, or natural orgin?? I should not even be
thinking these things!!! But with what has been going on, How could not???

(A real sad chow who now can't even trust anyone!)

Tofu doesn't taste like anything, except what you cook it with. So why not
just eat what you cook it with and leave that stuff alone? Snicker, just
poking fun:) (it has no taste tho).

A little soap and water (and a pressure washer) does not a slippery slope
make.

A lot of people don't use WebTV. A lot of people can't -get- WebTV because
it's a US thing. Also, a lot of people use plain ASCII newsreasders that
don't understand embedded HTML tags like <html><head><title>and <blink>.
These people are more than likely still a majority on USENET and do
find it incredibly annoying at the bigotry of people like Netscape and
Microsoft for trying to redefine the way that articles are transmitted
on USENET purely because it suits them.

Hey, those are just three excerpted from a whole book!
(the mind boggles) :)
Point being if they already made these fiendish concoctions, they must
have come up with one for tofu-chocolate pudding, though I'll wager it
wasn't a pretty sight at first. (and considering what it looks like to
begin with, you don't want to see ugly pudding.)
At the time I could have sworn there was a chocolate recipe.
Must have been the article on using carob as a chocolate substitute.

(obfurry...obfurry...hmmm...Well, carob is used as cattle fodder, so
maybe a cow morph might prefer it over chocolate.)
(okay, so it was the best I could do.)

Speaking your mind will get you in trouble a lot. Still, it's the national
sport in the United States, so people will keep doing it.

I suppose I'll go read her page now, decide what I think of it, and not
post that here. I'll just think my reaction quietly to myself, whatever it
is. Or maybe tell my friend 'Manda if it comes up in conversation. :X)

I think you're right. I just looked at the ingredients on the back of a
candy bar today and decided I didn't want to eat it anymore. Bleach
seems more nutritious.

BTW: You can make many exciting new words just by adding "ables" or
"age" to the end of existing words 'S fun. You should try it. For
instance, I typically refer to toast as "toastage".

As well, mixing French and English words into a personal brand of Creole
is also cool.

Such a recipe exists. I've even made it (or something close to it). Tastes
