First, the commercial stuff...
Got money burning a hole in your pocket? Want to buy a fully dressed
Southern Belle batbat? Interested in what kind of art Conrad "Lynx" Wong
has been putting out?
Now available: Lynx Ynx! a purrfolio of art for 1993 version 1.1
And... "Dreaming of Love Lost" color laser print
Lynx Ynx! -- a collection of Conrad "Lynx" Wong's artwork from 1992-1993,
now available for $20 + $3 for shipping through mail. What do you get, you
ask?
* 4 laser-color pages, 16 cardstock black-and-white prints of generally
fine-detailed artwork, various subjects from light fantasy to Victorian
settings to modern-day chic and even a space bar scene! Ask if you
want more details.
* Report-bound so that you can remove separate pages for framing or
coloring (please do not distribute colored or modified pages however)
* Version 1.1 includes bonus "Dragon Lady" cardstock print! Also the
"Garnet & Kyla" print, previously grayscale, is now in full color.
I have about 8 purrfolios left in this run, but I will print more if demand
warrants. You can also buy one from Brian Sutton and Happy Jackal Graphics
if you happen to run across them at a convention.
For those who purchased the original version 1.0 at ConFurence 5, the
"Garnet & Kyla" print can be upgraded for a base cost of $2 plus $3
shipping. See below pricing suggestions if you want to combine shipping
costs on several items.
"Dreaming of Love Lost" -- 16 color laser prints available! No more will be
printed. Depicts a romantically sad male fox with long curly blonde hair
and red fur in a white blouse, tan pants, sitting against a tree holding a
fan. This scene is framed by a circle with elaborate decorations about and
beneath that, and an inset circle at lower left showing his ladylove, a
siamese with upbraided brown hair. Motif of roses and gems. The original
was a commission for Paul Blair, who has graciously given his permission for
limited prints to be sold.
These will sell for $7, plus $3 for shipping. You may combine the shipping
fees for several items. Example:
v1.1 purrfolio $20 Garnet & Kyla print only $2
Dreaming $7 Dreaming $7
Shipping $3 Shipping $3
Total $30 Total $12
v1.1 purrfolio alone is $20 + 3 = $23. Dreaming print alone is $7 + 3 = $10.

You can reserve things thru E-mail, but I'm not shipping anything 'til I get
a check. ('gryn) I can't take credit cards, and the Post Office strenuously
recommends not sending cash thru the mail.
Shipping applies only to within the United States and Canada. I'm using
those nifty $2.90 Priority Mail stamps. I haven't figured out what it costs
to send packages to the United Kingdoms or elsewhere. If you know, let me
know and I'll make due note! Much appreciated.

And some questions to people in general about what y'all want...
I posted notice at the ConFurence 5 art show that I was considering putting
out a large poster (perhaps 18x24") and displayed an incomplete work. This
work included a wildcat flautist and a maned wolf violinist playing together
at the side of a bridge, in a Viennese city setting, with various interested
on-lookers. Regretfully, I have thus far received only two possibly
interested notes, far too little to justify the scandalous costs of printing
large color items. I'm told the setup costs for the run alone could run a
thousand dollars -- yeep! When I say large, I mean that the poster should
be 14x18 or 18x24 -- 11x14 laser prints I can get easily.
Questions to people out there, therefore:
Do you think that *you* or others you know would be interested in large
furry art posters? What size?
How much would you pay? $30? $50? $100?
Would it make a difference if it was limited-edition of 10? 50? 100?
What subject/composition would you prefer on large color posters? I.E.
what kinds of things do you like to hang up on your wall?
I am not certain if I'll finish this particular piece, but I may try
distributing it as 11x14" color prints (much cheaper, thank Ilura). We'll
see how it goes. I think I can pull off a better composition by next year,
if I decide to try again at producing a super-large piece...
I also intend to try and sell extra-large color laser prints (11x14) at con
art shows, notably BayCon, end of May. We'll see what kind of responses
Garnet & Kyla and Dreaming get. ('gryn)
Well, thanks for letting me bend your ear a bit, and I appreciate whatever
comments and suggestions you might have. (asides from "Draw fewer clothes")
I'm looking forward to helping make furry fandom a higher quality, more
diverse, and more entertaining field -- I just hope it won't be too painful
a learning experience along the way. };)
