RICHARD BARTROP
FurryMUCK Name: Grey
Tigermuck Name: Grey
Real Name: Richard Bartrop
E-mail: rbar...@freenet.calgary.ab.ca
Postal Address: #212 211 12th Ave SW
Calgary, Alberta T2R 0G9, Canada
Technique: For black and white stuff I use either a brush and technical pen,
though I'll use just about anything, including sponges and paper towel if
it gives the right effect. Full colour work I do with an airbrush on
illustration board, supplemented with brushwork and coloured pencils. I've
also worked with watercolour and acrylic. I also sculpt. I've released one
resin kit and am working on another. I've also tried a bronze cast, if
you're feeling adventurous.
Preferences: I'll do cheesecake a la Vargas or Olivia. Nudity is fine, but
nudity with class. My own preferences run to hard SF with lots of techie
stuff, but I have done Fantasy/Sword & sorcery type art and am always up
for a challenge.
Publications: In addition to work for local Cons, I've had stuff in YARF, The
Confurence Program Book (3-6), Beauty of the Beasts #2 (MU), "The
Butterfly Effect" in Take Off #1, "Zaibatsu Tears" in Furrlough #21, 22
and 24, and the hbox art, as well as card art, for the cyberpunk boardgame
"Edge City". I have signed and numbered laserprints available of the
Furrlough #21 cover available at $20 each, and I am working on a resin
figure of Pi, the main character from "Zaibatsu Tears". Pi is back in
"Zaibatsu Tears: The Puppet Warriors" which has appearred so far in
Furrlough #35 and #37.
For Sale:
* I have an airbrush painting of a fox in a kimono available as a 11"x17"
poster for $10.00.
* I'm offering the cover art for Furrlough #21 as a 11"x17" colour poster
also for $10.00.
* "Mechabun". This is an airbrush painting of a giant robot rabbit, which
appearred on the cover of Furrlough #34. Available as a poster for
$10. Posters are shipped in a mailing tube, and there is a $3.00
handling charge per order, not per poster.
Money: Depends on the individual project. Payment is usually in advance,
though on large projects we can arrange something.

----------
CHRIS BERDOZ
Real Name: Chris Berdoz
E-mail: cde...@cabell.vcu.edu
Preferences: I can do the figure quite well. I'm good at drawing real/cartoony
hands, faces and expressive poses. My 'pomorphs are out of proportion
(which I do on purpose, unless you want me to draw them on a perfectly
proportioned human body, which I can do if you really want me to). I'm not
into erotica at all, but if you want, I'll give it a try. Tell me what you
want first. I might turn you down, though. If I actually do a sexual one,
it would be more "romantic erotica" rather than straight spooge, if that
makes sense to you at all. I like sci-fi stuff, too.
Technique: Pencils, inks, colored pencils, color chalk pastels.
Note: I'll send sample copies to you if you send me an SASE. Ask for my
mailing address. If I'm in the mood, (or if you give me a really cool
letter) I'll throw in a free original! I won't be available during summer
breaks unless you send me correspondence through the mail saying you still
want contact with snail mail! This is tentative.
Money: If you want, get yourself a free sample. If you like it, then we can
talk prices, but I won't charge very high, anyway (no higher than $10).
Price will go up slightly with color. Plus, I usually like throwing in
free stuff, pre-production sketches and little tidbits, when I send out
stuff like this. If you're upset with it, we can arrange a refund if you
like, just send it on back!
Publications: No GIFs or binaries anywhere. My work can be seen in the APA
"FIRE and FUR", hopefully upcoming graphic story in Foxy's
"Anthropomorphine", and _very_ tentatively in a new fanzine from Richmond,
Va. called, surpisingly enough, "FANZINE'. I also displayed some work at
ConFurence 6. "One Night at the Underground Cafe" and "Awakenings" seemed
to be popular with some people, I understand. If you haven't seen any of
that stuff, my style is heavily influenced by Walt Kelly, Disney, Warner
Bros., Bluth, Japanese anime, and some personal style thrown in, if you
can imagine a combination of all that. I think you'll like it - gimme a
try!

NICK BOOS
E-mail: nick...@enabel.ccinet.ab.ca
Preferences: Well, I'll draw most anything ranging from Cute/Cartoony to
Realistic, from furry to human to alien to...well, make a request. The
worst I can do is refuse if I haven't the time or if the work distasteful
to me, and that won't cost you a thing. All I ask is that you tell me as
much as you can about what you want, including subject, media, paper type
(if you have a preference) and paper size. If you want me to draw a
specific character, please send me a picture to use for reference if one
is available.
Technique: I usually work in pencil and/or ink, and sometimes in color pencil,
but color comissions will come later. For now, I'll stick to pencil and
ink (until I can work out a schedule for myself). As I am a strict
perfectionist (terrible habit, I DON'T reccommend it!), my finished work
is very clean.
Money: I will quote a price according to the unique specifications for the
work. I'd like you to have a pretty good idea of the work you will recieve
before the price is even mentioned. Prices will probably start at $5. (I
am quite new to commissions so, at the moment, I guess prices will be a
little flexible) Here, however, are some general guidelines:
* Uninked pencil sketches, I guess, will be the most inexpensive.
* Inked and finished pencil drawings will be a little more.
* So will 'sculpted' drawings (by sculpted I mean shaded
three-dimensionally as in nb_tasker.gif). Sculpted MAY end up being a
little more than inked.
* Drawings which are inked and then shaded in pencil, such as nb_smuj.gif
(not the best example, as smudge is only lightly shaded, but you get
the idea), will end up costing a little more.
Examples:
* nb_bustr.gif (146,327 bytes 2,796x2,388x2 August 14, 1995) An inked
picture of Buster The Amazing Bear standing against a checkered
background. Buster The Amazing Bear is TM and (c)Ursus Studios. Thanks
to Tommy Yune.
* NB_FLIP.GIF (22,192 bytes 331x357x16 September 30, 1995) Flipit, the
magic bunny.
* nb_Flipc.gif (67,310 bytes 331x356x256 September 19, 1995) Flipit, the
magic bunny, jumping through the air with his bag 'o' magic again, but
this time....IN FULL COLOR!!! YAAAY!!!
* nb_kanga.gif (20,814 bytes 700x824x2 August 14, 1995) Ink sketch of a
joey losing his balance.
* nb_kena.gif (129,282 bytes 2,608x2,244x2 August 14, 1995) Inked picture
of Kena with a wolf. Kena is TM and (c)Cuauhtemoc Carreno.
* nb_smuj.gif (312,040 bytes 1,187x2,087x16 August 14, 1995) A
pencil-shaded ink drawing of Smudge the fox sitting by a tree along
the lakeside in a tastefully nude pose.
* nb_taskr.gif (83,655 bytes 384x931x16 July 14, 1995) A shaded pencil
drawing of Tasker, a space scout (cat) in uniform.
Notes: Although I am only now beginning to accept commissions, I have been
drawing for a while. I am planning to begin studying animation in 1996 at
Sheridan College in Ontario, so please help me to be able to pay for
tuition by giving me work. E-mail me if you'd like me to send you an
example GIF of my non-furry art. (I love to recieve mail!) I will not draw
copyrighted characters without the owner's permission! All comissioned art
will remain copyright by me although you get to keep the original. I'll
probably also want to scan the work to post on the 'Net, if it's no
problem with you, and I will assume this practice unless you state
otherwise. Finally (whew!), if you do write to me, please tell me where
you found my address.

DUSTY_RANCOURT (JUSTIN CARPENTER)
Furrymuck Name: Dusty_Rancourt
Real Name: Justin Carpenter
E-mail: j...@super7.uccs.edu
Preferences: I'm fairly new to commissions, so I'd prefer to be e-mailed with
a description of what you want drawn, and I'll respond after I've given in
a few shots (usually 24hrs. or less) to let you know if I'm going to be
able to do it. I prefer to do single character, simple pose stuff. I'll
give anything short of X-rated stuff a try. (Ask me if you have a piece
involving nudity or sexual suggestion beyond playful flirtation - I might
take it, I might not.)
Technique: Usually I do high-contrast inked pieces. I will leave it in the
pencil stage if you prefer, though. I don't do color, mostly because I
have no experience with it and don't feel confident enough to distribute
color pieces.
Note: As for brag stuff ... well, I spent a year at the Inkspinner School of
Art, and studied animation there. Most of my style is self-taught.
Examples:
* anticipation.gif (18077 bytes 848x649x2 Sep 1, 1994) Dusty and Renee
Rancourt, relaxing after a long and stressful day. PG-13 (very
suggestive).

Figment (Copyright (C) 1995 Atomic City) stands upon the Pavillion,
above her floating island's lagoon.
* bedtime.gif (35,853 bytes 661x1,001x16 January 17, 1995) Dusty and Renee
take a last, fond look upon their son before retiring for the night.

FurryMUCK) smiles, toying with her wand. Sem (C) 1994 Midori.

G/PG. Lots of love and affection, no sexual content.
* stashfemfox.gif (72,270 bytes 419x764x256 July 02, 1995) Stash
(Copyright (c) 1995 her player) in black foxy form, casts her eyes
sideward, in mid-step.
Money: I don't feel comfortable charging -- I'd feel terrible if after paying
for a piece, you got it, looked at it, and hated it. I go by the honor
system - if you get a piece from me and like it, and feel it's worth some
money, feel free to send it. I won't get upset if you don't pay, but man,
will it make my day if you do. :)

EHLANA (LAURA DAVIS)
Furrymuck Name: Ehlana
Real Name: Laura Davis
E-mail: tal...@netcom.com
Preferences: 'risque-free' art; meaning, nothing overly erotic comes from the
artistic implements of these folkses. Specialities tend to be unicorns and
felines. (wonder why?)
Technique: Ehlana's primarily an inker/colorist, but she's also an artist in
her own right. Like Kaliffio, she has a unique (but amateur) style.
Publications: Some of Kaliffio and Ehlana's individual and combined efforts
appeared (along with them) at Confurence 5.
Money: 'if it's in the art show, it's for sale - bid!; if we do something for
you and you don't like it, it's free.' We're not in it for the cash; you
pay us what you think it's worth. That's for commissions. We reserve the
rights to refuse to do a commission; we're generally both under time
constraints most of the time. Will trade artwork for artwork and have been
known to do free sketches for the fun of it.

Publications: She's not published because she doesn't have the time to
dedicate to her art. Once the fanzines find her, though, she's going to
have to give up her career to do Furry art. She's better and different and
amazing. I promise. - Claire

Attn: Commissions
Preferences: Most themes are fine with me (erotica and military my main
subjects). No commissions involving the young, the dead, the dying, and/or
helium will be considered, period. Female characters preferred but males
are okay too. Drop a line with your concept and we'll roll from there.
Technique: My style is heavily influenced by Japanese manga with shades of
Shon Howell. For now, I do strictly pen and ink.
Publications: My illos can be found in a host of 'zines. They are: Bunny Pages
#6-#10, Blue Fur #1, Sheepette Gazette #1-#2, FurryPhile #1-#5, Furrottica
#1-#6, Viktoria's Secret #1-#2, Furlined #1-#2, furBALL #1, #4, #6-#8,
Leash #1, Fox One #1, Bestiary #20, PlayBunny #2, PentMouse #2, Fire & Fur
APA #2-#3, and Fur Scene #3.
Money: General audience runs US$15, adult US$17, one extra character per piece
adds US$5, lots of detail runs an extra US$10. Buyer can choose either an
8.5"*11" (21.6cm*27.9cm) print or 11"*17" (27.9cm*43.2cm). I don't give
the buyer originals mainly since I do make goofs which can lead to a messy
downboard (a holdover from advertising ). Sorry, no backgrounds.

Preferences: Try me, I don't have a lot of hangups when it comes to art (since
it isn't real), but I generally don't do things that will get me
prosecuted *snikker*. If it's classic fanboy cheesecake, don't even
bother, I prefer something that will interest me. I have no problem with
erotica, but I prefer some subtlety in whatever I do, at the very least.
Note: Expect ye not a quick response; I tend to work slowly when I can, and
I'm not in the position to dedicate very large blocks of time to this
right now. One more thing...Sending in a request guarantees you
nothing, except perhaps a response, under the laws of good graces. It does
_not_ guarantee anyone a drawing. =)
Technique: Pencil, Ink (Pigma Micron and comparable only), Color courtesy of

Technique: I do shaded pencil drawings, inked drawings using either technical
pen or brush, and color with Prismacolor pencils. Providing scans is also
no problem, and I've had some success with computer-colored pictures (but
no color printer with which to print them out).
Preferences: Just about anything, if it's legal and in good taste. If you're
unsure, e-mail and ask; the worst I can do is say 'no'. :-)

Technique: Pencils, from sketchy style to complicated shading, background and
textures. Characters preferably felines, but I can try others. Horsies,
bunnies and some other grass-eating critters are, however, usually out of
my scope. Also landscapes/structures might go, if you need something on
that scene.
Preferences: Well, my drawing style is, if nothing else, slow. I'm mostly
drawing for fun, but can do commissions if you happen to like my work.
Basically rated from 'clean' to soft X, but if you have an interesting
scene I could go beyond that. I don't draw hitech stuff very well, either.
Money: Well.. Commissions cost. From, say, $5 for sketches, $10 for shadings,
and along that line. Also the costs for shipping and handling if you want
the whole piece. But if you just have a good idea, I might draw it just
for the fun of it. :)

No kidding. I tried to update all kinds of people on my listings. I
don't know how many people have my name and info on their "artist pages",
but they are all out of date by about 3 years, and I gave up trying to
reach all of these people years ago.
I think Yiffco has the only updated version of my artist status. They
are the only ones who let me update my page myself, and now they are
going to offer web space for images, I hear. I wish I could just tell
everyone to ignore everyone else's artist list page or faq or whatever.
I don't know much about Yiffco, but they are the only ones who gave me
the opportunity to update my listing. I don't know how my stats got on
there, (or anyone else's web page or faq), but I would say to artists
that they would be the best to give your stats to.

I just wish the autoposter can get disabled until such time as someone
actively starts maintaining that list again.... *sigh*

Ermines are easy to spot on cards and such, especially during the Winter
Holiday season... something about a little white weasel with big button
eyes being cute.
Now, if I could just track down more _lynx_ stuff, I'd be in great shape!

Micole looks at the tattered message. "Hey! At least pretty it up with a
bow! Foxsharks.... sheesh." Micole ties a pink bow around the tatters...

Hi, just got back from vacation... since I'm handling the autoposting (which
is a perl script that chews up the web page and spits it out to a.f.f), I
can shut that off until the master page is updated. I'd believed Pelzig's
listing was updated; this last post was the first of a newly-revised posting
script that processes totally automatically (so that I could stay offline
for almost 2 weeks and be sure the a.f.f post was in synch with the web
page).
In fact, I'll see if I can tweak the script to *selectively* avoid posting
entries for artists whose info is outdated. At least that way the valid info
is still available. In the meantime, I'll just shut it off.
*sigh* And I was so proud of that new script... :-}

While I believe that the last posting was the first of a newly-revised
posting script, I do not believe that Pelzig's listing has been updated
in ages. Every two months or so I leave email to the listed address for
'updating information' and I get no response back nor do I see my
information has been changed.
My name changed in April of this year, my mailing address changed in
September of 1996 and my email hasn't been at snowmeow.com since the
beginning of 1996! I don't even know when Lycosuction shut down and moved
over to become Yiffco. All I know is that I've routinely sent out updates
to my information and this particular list has ignored my posts. My
information on Yiffco is current, so is the information on Velan Central
Library.... all I am asking is for the information in the FAQ to reflect
what's already out there. :3

Tweaking it to selectively avoid outdated entries isn't intrinsicly a bad
idea, but somehow I suspect when you do that you'll find only 30% of the
entries are _valid_.... it's that out of date as a whole!
> *sigh* And I was so proud of that new script... :-}
Your script is fine, it's just where it's pulling the information _from_
where the problem lies....

At the same time could you check and make sure it's going out correctly?
This site almost *never* gets more than one part of the artist posting -
usually but not always part 1.

That's rather beyond my control, I'm afraid. Complain to your newsadmin,
because if you're missing parts of a multi-part post, you're also missing
other posts. You might try using a better-connected news server, such as one
of those on Furrynet; if your newsadmin promises not to allow spammers from
his system, he can get a direct Furrynet feed, which can include
alt.fan.furry.

on the other paw, i see there are a number of other `lists of
artists' on the www meanwhile.. maybe we can shut down this one
completely, as old as it is?
the only thing is that the purpose of these lists is maybe a bit
different.. some lists are to find out what artist a certain
picture found on the net or your old harddisk is from, my list
was intended as a source of information for those who want a
portrait of their character and don't know who to ask - so, it
would only list those artists who currently have time for
requests of new pictures. (not me, if i think it over - i have
about 20..30 unprocessed ideas of new pictures on the waiting
queue.)
