My God, how do some ideas get greenlighted?? :-P

They get greenlit way, WAYYYY back when you could still get a laff with
"current" Paris Hilton (and her pet) jokes.
Pity that it takes longer to make the trend-cashing movie than the trend
actually lasts.

They get green lighted because they are intended to lose money. It is
how the money people keep their taxes down. One huge blockbuster will
always be followed by a slew of garbage. This way they almost never
have to pay income taxes to speak of. In the theater profession we
call them bubblegum movies.
Just reading the URL tells me more than I want to know about this thing @_@

Then committed to a landfill in the middle of the Nevada test
range.
You sound like a tiny percentage of my clients. Fortunately, the ones
who don't like to make money because they don't want to pay taxes (the
dumb ones) are far outnumbered by the smart ones who understand that
it's ALWAYS better to make money, even if you have to pay taxes on
it. (Hmmm . . . lemme see . . . I can lose a chunk of money but pay
no taxes or I can make a profit and pay some tax on it but still keep
most of the money in my pocket. Yeah, tough choice.)
I hate to break it to you but EVERYONE thinks their idea is gold,
either because they think it's brilliant or because they think it'll
make a ton of money. No matter how stupid the rest of us think it is.
