I am so depressed. Nobody is talking to me and I really want to talk to
people today. Isn't there a generous person who wants to talk to a new user?

I'm going INSANE!!!!

Whoa! I'm not ignoring you, I don't remember seeing your name here before!

So, what do you want to talk about? What kind of furries do you like? I'm
pretty new to the fur fan world, so I'm not too familiar with artists'
names yet, but this weekend I did see some really outstanding pictures by
Tygger posted to one of the newsgroups. I favor cute and fuzzy types
myself. Growing up, I used to love books of old Pogo comic strips; I
didn't care much about the political satire, but I always wished I could
draw like Walt Kelly.

Your turn.

Don't do THAT!!! (Go insane.) There are too few sane furries as it is.

You're not being ignored. It looks like you're posting through The Trap
Line, a FidoNet bbs system. Your message likely sat on the bbs until it
made its mail call to the gateway system and then it had to get out to
the InterNet/UseNet, be seen, responded to, and THOSE messages had to take
the same slow route back before you could see them. (You've already had
a few replies.)

We're glad to have you. Welcome to the fold!

So you're saying there's something wrong with insanity? My goodness,
what's this world coming to?

Sanity is over-rated, and it causes serious health problems in those
who choose to subscribe to the notion that the world is sensible. ;)

Take it from someone who was hopelessly sane at one time. It sucks.
Come to the PORK side of the Force! Why be limited by good and bad
when there's so much Meringue of Oddity lingering about? Cast aside
the false ideals of reason and rhyme!

Pull the wool over your own eyes!

Amen.

Never said that. Can't remember the last time anyone accused any
of my group out here, least of all me, of being sane. Even Doug
thought I was bonkers.

It's just that sane furries are an endangered species and it
seems some feel we need to have a few around to front for the
rest of us with "Joe Blow" & Co.

Never been there (sane) so I'll just have to take your word for
it.

It's just that it's _so_ hard to type in this jacket they make me
wear...

(Cheech's line in a similar situation omitted in a rare burst of
good taste.)

Am cleaning out the attics to get room, so almost my entire collection
of fox art will be on sale at CF8.

This collection began in the early 1970s and has pieces up to the early
90s. Most of the pieces were done FOR me and have not seen print
anywhere else. Around 200 pieces will be for sale.

Animation Artists include Osama Tezuka (KIMBA/ASTROBOY), Don Bluth
(NIMH/ALL DOGS GO TO HEAVEN), Ron Clements (director LITTLE MERMAID,
ALADDIN, etc), Eric Goldberg (Genie in ALADDIN), Joe Murray (creator of
ROCKO'S MODERN LIFE) and more.

Comic Artists include Ken Fletcher, Mike Kazaleh, Scott Shaw!, Steve
Gallacci, Jim Groat, Steve Martin, Jim Davis (Garfield), and more.

There is also animation art including cels, storyboard drawings,
animation drawings and such from ROBIN HOOD, FOX & HOUND, WHO FRAMED
ROGER RABBIT, STANLEY THE UGLY DUCKLING and more.

All will be viewable and available at our (with my wife, Cataroo) table
at the con. Sorry, NO mail order on these items.

Hope to see you there...
