Does it matter? In any way, shape or form? I really start wondering
lately ... after all, this is only the OL world, and nothing's truly
real on here. So what, I think. I've got a killfile, and an "ignore
thread" button. Works wonders :o)

It depends on who you ask, I think. I've always found it a bit ironic how
some people complain about furry fandom being linked to bestia1ity or some
other kinks from an offhand reference in a magazine, and think nothing at all
of making hundreds of references to it on Usenet. It just seems a little
inconsistent.
For a fandom that claims to have nothing to do with bestia1ity we sure do talk
about it an awful lot, don't we?
The reasons behind this are along the lines of "these things need to be
brought out into the open so we can do something about them". In truth, all
its really accomplished is to have a different group of furry fans bringing
bestia1ity into the spotlight where the media can latch on to it.
IMHO, having the media latch onto bestia1ity is not a good way to improve
furry fandom's image.
