Just heard the sad news that JCB died at 11.00 pm on October 31.
He will always be in my heart.

Think I'll dig out the Geronimo Black and Grandmother's
"Mother of an Anthology' CDs and enjoy the music.

JCB did a great version of 'Big Boss Man' on the GM CD.

Do you know the live recording at County Colliseum in El Paso, TX on the
23th May 1975 where he sang: You're so Fine and Lonely Lonely Nights ?

two things about JCB that bother me....

1) all this moaning about money.
Frank adds drummer Billy Mundi in 1966. Then JCB stays in the band for another
three years. How cruel of Mr Zappa. Of course, JCB had seven kids, a wife, a
mother-in-law and a dog to support.

2) not one obituary mentions that Jimmy made two (or three?) albums with Eugene
Chadbourne, one of which was a semi-authorized Captain Beefheart tribute.
