Do you still get pumpkins out in the country & carve Jack 'o Lanterns
for Halloween?

Do you hang those fake plastic scary skeletons to frighten the
kiddies
on Halloween??

And I mix Edgard Varese's "Poem Electronique into the background music, I
play while the kiddies come calling. It tends to freak them out.

I keep a jar of pickles and a fork next to the door.

"Whadda ya mean you'd rather have the treat?"

Gives 'em something to think about.

Ever heard it?

The sirens that Frank loved so much are a bit eerie in the dark on
Halloween, when it comes right after Monster Mash and before One Eyed,
One Horned Flying Purple People Eater. I'm sure these are sounds most
people have never ever heard.

I thought it was Ionisation on The Complete Works Vol. 1 (now available
on CD, BTW) that gave the young Zappa his jollies. Počme électronique made
its debut after FZ was already a Varčse maniac.

Yes but Frank loved the sirens Varèse used in his compositions.

But, the REAL question is : Did FZ *really* like pumpkins? Outside of
"Soft Cell Conclusions"???/

In fact, is there not a siren at the end of "Magdalena" on JABFLA?
