Yuppie beer is sure popular in this newsgroup.
how would you classify this as "yuppie beer"?

Microbrew. Yuppie beer.
I like to support the small, Local microbreweries that use REAL
ingrediants to brew their beer. I will not support some Large multi-
national conglomorate that brews phormaldehyde & water & calls it
"beer".
Notice the ads for that one large "American" brewery (which is not
even owned by Americans anymore) which states their product has
"drinkability". NO TASTE! Just drinkability. Ugh!

Surely 'drinkability' has a still less specific meaning than that.
IMO it simply means "non-poisonous liquid".

IMHO, beer is a lot like FZ's music-incredibily varied, complex, and
intesting. I could compare a nice, refreshing pilsner to something
like "Let Me Take You To The Beach", A rich, complex Belgium to
something like "RDNZL", or a thick, heavy stout to something like
"Filty Habits". Just like I rarely listen to the same song (or even
album) twice in a row, I rarely drink or buy the same beer twice in a
row. To me, someone who drinks (or eats, or listens to, or smokes, or
vacations at...yada yada yada) the same think over and over and over
has very little sense of adventure, exploration, or appreciation for
the wonders of this life. I have one friend who only drinks Miller
Lite. I have another who will drink whatever I may have to offer. I
value their friendships equally, but who do you think I'd rather party
with?
Call me selfish but, if they're gonna be moochin', I'd rather supply
Twink-O with his Miller High Life and save all the good beer for
myself.
My buddy brings over good beer and we trade off between what he's
brought and what I've got. Now *that's* a good time.
i didn't mean to imply that my more adventurous friend is a moocher.
on the contrary, he is a home brewer who actually cultivates my taste
in beer. i don't think either of us has ever done a mental tally on
who's ahead or behind in the deal. if it ever gets to that point, the
friendship will be over. i just wish i could get him to appreciate
fz's music so i could play it more when we're together.
i have also learned to keep 2 kinds of whisky on hand. one for sippin'
straight up and the other for mixing with water or coke. the same goes
for rums, gins and vodkas.
He said Miller Lite, not High Life. Big difference. And I think it was
the other guy that was mooching.

Thaaaat's right. Miller High Life is like making love in a canoe while
Miller Lite is fucking close to water. Sorry for the mixup.

Ah, well then. Sounds like you've got a damned good situation, there.
Cheers!
