I'm now under the impression that all versions of Make A Jazz Noise Here have the same discrepancies between printed times and the actual duration of the tracks:
printed actual When Yuppies Go To Hell 14:36 13:28 Fire And Chains 3:57 5:04 King Kong 13:11 13:04 Star Wars Won't Work 3:33 3:40 Sinister Footwear 6:19 6:39 Strictly Genteel 5:37 6:36
Does anyone have a copy of MAJNH that differs from the above timings?
Does anyone have a Barking Pumpkin or Zappa Records MAJNH on which it says that Black Napkins first appeared on Zoot Allures (as opposed to the original typo "Toot Allures")?

-I don't know about the older Zappa Records and Barking Pumpkin CD versions, by my copy of the '95 Ryko CD has no time at all listed for "Harry, You're A Beast" on the back cover.

mWo. It's not just the coolest, it's fa lyfe, so survey says whether you like it or don't like it, never E-e-e-ver tell me he did *not* just SMELL what mWo 3:16 reeks of.

Yes, my copy of Zappa Records CDDZAP 41 (Made In France, 1991) has:
printed actual When Yuppies Go To Hell 14:36 14:36 Fire And Chains 3:57 3:56 King Kong 13:11 13:11 Star Wars Won't Work 3:33 3:33 Sinister Footwear 6:19 6:39 Strictly Genteel 5:37 6:36
Note that the two songs from CD 2 do have discrepancies. Also note that this version of the CD doesn't have the Stravinsky and Bartòk pieces.

No. It says "Toot Allures" on mine. And also "T'Mershi Duweeen" both times on the booklet, but "T'Mershi Duween" on the back cover and the actual CD.

-Is there *any* time listed for "Harry, You're A Beast"? None of the copies of the '95 Ryko CD I've seen have a time listed at all.

Nor on the Barking Pumpkin CD. I should have included that in the list.
Román, does the Zappa Records CD give a time for HYAB?

So it looks like they made the first disc of the Zappa Records version consistent with the printed times, but failed to do this with the second disc.
And then the Ryko 1995 version was based on the Barking Pumpkin version anyway.

The Barking Pumpkin version has "T'Mershi Duweeen" in all three places, and I believe the Ryko version does as well.

-I thought there was a difference between the '95 Ryko and the older Ryko and BP CDs in where the track change occurs between "When Yuppies Go to Hell" and "Fire and Chains" (?)

I used to think so, but apparently not. Anyway, I posted the timings from the Barking Pumpkin CD earlier in this thread. So far, the only different timings anyone has mentioned are on the Zappa Records CD.

Nope. My Barking Pumpkin CD is identical to your's. Got mine when Barfko-Swill was clearing out their old stock. -- Mike E. ------------ "Too often, men measure themselves by what they can consume or destroy rather than what they can create."

Holy mother of god. What a boring thing to discuss. Oh well, at least you're not insulting anyone or their mother.

Your mother compares liner notes to actual running times.
