So, I bought it.

First off -- the CD packaging isn't worth it. Liner notes are on the
Turtles web site, so if you don't actually want the media, don't worry
that you are missing anything. Liner notes are here:

As for what is on this disk...

The first disk doesn't have a lot of "songs" on it: Most of it seems
to be the highlights of the non-Turtles, non-F&E-solo stuff that they
would have done during their concerts. There are a number of tracks
(the John Carpenter theme songs) where something was likely going on
the stage, but that doesn't translate to CD.

In fact, I think the first CD (it's a double-disc) is unlikely to be
replayed very often.


That said - the second disk picks up considerably. There's a great
version of Marmendy Mill, an Elvis movie song set, the Zappa medley and
other stuff.


For the $12 at Amazon, the second CD alone was worth it.


But, overall, it's not as good as that 1976 Live At the Roxy F&E boot
that's floating around out there.


But I'm glad F&E are releasing stuff. More, I say!
