Have any of these recordings ever surfaced?

And it's strange that on this interview Ralphe says he stayd with FZ for 7
months, but on the site below there are only two occasions with him...

My guess is that his memory is playing tricks on him. Judging from the quotes on the Musicians Timeline, he is not unique in this.

35 years is a long time. I had a conversation with Froggy Camarena a
few months ago when his band played a bar in Tempe, and he seemed
CERTAIN that the ill-fated band with him and Roy and Nappy and Novi
and Terry Ted was at a time when it could not have been possible. I
didn't point out his error because he was even confusing ME.

Armstrong also says he was a salaried employee and that could be what
he's referring to by "working" with Frank for seven months.

His comments in that interview seem to suggest that he was actively playing and touring with FZ. It doesn't make sense since we have numerous tapes from fall 75 to winter 77 and his presence isn't evident on any of them aside from the two mentioned.

But, as I said, this isn't stranger than other claims people have made, such as Bianca writing that she was in Zappa's band almost a year, David Logeman believing he played on Shut Up 'n Play Yer Guitar and so forth.

Bernard Purdie insisted he played on "Love Me Do" for years. I think
somebody finally shut him up.
