Keneally was fired from Z during Music For Pets?

According to Wikipedia (oh it must be true!):

The cover art is a parody of their previous effort, Shampoohorn, and the
inner photograph and listing of dogs as "Band Members" Bing Jang on guitar
and background vocals and Arkansas on bass guitar are pseudonyms and
retribution for the firing of guitarist Mike Keneally due to the Zappas'
reluctance to allow his own band, "Mike Keneally & Beer For Dolphins" (later
"The Mike Keneally Band") to exist at the same time as "Z". Bass guitarist
Bryan Beller made the decision to leave the band in support of Keneally,
with whom he also played bass guitar in "Beer For Dolphins".

Hadn't heard this before. Has Mike ever commented this?

once more):

"Between the release of the two versions, Dweezil Zappa fired longtime Zappa
bassist Scott Thunes due to inter-band conflicts, and hired bassist Bryan
Beller, a Berklee honors graduate based on the recommendation of drummer Joe
Travers (who had played extensively with Beller at Berklee) and an
exhausting 5-day audition."

Any more info about this? It would seem that the Dweez is not the easiest
person around...

Scott also isn't the easiest person around, was bored playing with Z
and didn't get along with Travers. I believe he talks about it on his
site (geoscott.com).

One of MK's web updates mentioned that he saw Dweezil around 1999 and
it was pleasant. IIRC, it was at the Dixie Dregs show where Dweezil
sat in with them covering "Peaches En Regalia" for a live CD.

And yes, Scott has appeared with ZPZ and wrote liner notes for the
Torture Never Stops DVD so he seems to have made up with Dweezil and
Travers.
