The Kansas Highway Patrol today identified a 56-year-old man who died
in a motorcycle wreck Saturday on Kansas 7 near 75th Street as Frank
X. Zappa, of Overland Park.

Patrol reports said Zappa was riding with other motorcyclists
northbound on K-7 about 5:05 p.m. He was in the inside lane when he
lost control and hit a rubber post. A rider behind Zappa then hit the
back of Zappa’s motorcycle. Both bikes careened across the highway to
the right, throwing Zappa and the other rider, Tory J. King, 37, of
Wyoming. King survived. Neither rider was wearing a helmet, according
to patrol reports.

This guy was Frank's cousin. Yesterday I found out that he is the
brother of Barb Zappa who is pictured opposite Frank along with Granny
Zappa in the book My Brother was a Mother.

Thanks for the update, sad as it is to learn of the connection.
