Keith Walendowski is accused of shooting his lawn mower because it
wouldn't start.
According to the criminal complaint, Walendowski said "I can do that,
it's my lawn mower and my yard so I can shoot it if I want."
A Milwaukee man was accused of shooting his lawn mower because it
wouldn't start. Keith Walendowski, 56, was charged with felony
possession of a short-barreled shotgun or rifle and misdemeanor
disorderly conduct while armed.
According to the criminal complaint, Walendowski said he was angry
because his Lawn Boy wouldn't start Wednesday morning. He told police
quote, "I can do that, it's my lawn mower and my yard so I can shoot it
if I want."
A woman who lives at Walendowski's house reported the incident. She said
he was intoxicated.
Walendowski could face up to an $11,000 fine and six years and three
months in prison if convicted. A call to Walendowski's home went
unanswered Friday morning.
Wow!
Kinda like Richard Pryor shooting his car!? I shot my old TEAC 3440
once for eating the best damn recording I ever made! Parts went flying
12ft. in the air! It felt very good!
Y.W. (who no longer owns a gun, well, maybe)
LO-FUCKING-L!
This could really only make me think of one thing
The Dead Kennedys, "A Child and His Lawnmower", recorded in 1982
Some clown in Sacramento was dragged into court
He shot his lawnmower -- it disobeyed, it wouldn't start
Might makes right, it's the American way
They fined him $60 and sent him on his way
You know some people don't take no shit
Maybe if they did, they'd have half a brain left

It reminds me of two things:
A scene in the movie "Blaze" wherein Paul Newman shoots a lawnmower
with a shotgun;
and,
Once during a yearly trip to New Orleans for Mardi Gras, when a
filling station's restroom was closed for the evening at a time that I
had a dire need to take a shit. Since the station employee wouldn't
provide me with the restroom key in my time of need, I went around the
side of the building to release the excremental pressure within me.
I saw a line of lawn mowers and chose to shit upon a Lawn Boy because
they had Tecumseh engines which I disliked. I made sure I didn't
defile a mower with a Briggs & Stratton engine, such as my favorite
brand, Toro.
