record fair in USA

Today I received in the mail a nice Mothermania LP (eBay purchase) from
the USA. Enclosed I found a paper with an add of a Record, DVD &
Collectors-Show on Sunday March 21 in the Merchants Square Mall in
Allentown, Pa. (Lehigh Valley Music Expo '10)

Unfortunately I cannot make it but you are all welcome of course.
A day earlier: on March 20 there is 22nd Semi-Annual 45/78 RPM Record Expo.
Is that just looking but not buying ? (that IS a Dutch custom).
I like going to these kind of fairs. Do you affz people go there ?
And if yes, what do you buy ?

I've always wanted or could never find. Back then it was the typical
Zappa VHS boots. "Pro Shot C-" stuff.

to have it a million years ago. Don't know what happened to it. I

I like it fine, that is why this is my 14th version of this record.
I have a disease called "Mothermania", symptoms are that you want to buy
all Mothers of Invention records that you encounter.
But, don't worry: It is not contagious and can only be dangerous to your
bank-account (or your relationship).
In my country there is a person who has a similar disease but his focus
is on: Thriller by Michael Jackson (?!), he has more than a thousand
Killer LP's now. He has been mentioned in the National news....
And I know a Zappa fan who has more than 60 versions of Chunga's
Revenge. I could send you the last picture of his collection.
If you are interested in the Mothermania versions I have. I can mail you
the list. Oh yes, that is an other symptom: the making of lists....
I have never seen a mono version of Mothermania, are there any ?? They
write about the different editing of several songs on this record but
unfortunately I am not that well trained in discerning different musical
versions and I do not have the patience to figure it out.

IIRC, the production of Mono Lps ended mid to late 1967. At the time
I wuz mad since the Mono Lps cost $2.98 & the Stereo Lps cost $3.98.
A lotta $$$ back in those days. Plus I only had a one speaker HiFi in
my basement room so what good was Stereo? In late 1968 I purchased my
first 2 speaker stereo system for the ungodly amount of $59.95. It
broke less than a year later!
So, when was Mothermania first released? 1969? I doubt then there
there was a Mono relese of it. BUT, ya never know!

that there were mono versions, but I've never seen one (in the flesh or
on the internet). They say that there is also a Mexican Mothermania....
There are record collectors who are "completely into mono", I find it
difficult to imagine how that feels (we have two ears.....).
I have the US versions with the black, the blue and the yellow(promo)
Verve labels. And only the black-label version has track separation.
Why was that ?

like there was a UK mono version, but not a US one.

Zappateers aren't always right but the same is said on Zappa-patio.
Perhaps the first have used data from the other. Anyway, I will
scrutinize every Mothermania I meet...
This one (if it exists) will be pretty rare.

The Zappa Patio hasn't been updated much recently. I bet Hasi has copies
of all the albums he listed on Zappateers.
