John Urie threatens Erik Mouse to Cease & Desist on his TTA Fanfics

Erik Mouse, fan of Warner Brothers cartoons (Looney Tunes, Tiny Toon Adventures, Animaniacs) and fan of a MGM cartoon (Tom & Jerry) writes his own stories based on characters featured in these cartoons (generally referred to as "fan stories"). Erik Mouse makes his stories available to other fans on the Internet via a WWW Home Pages (http://members.xoom.com/erikmouse/furrystories/).

This is Erik Mouse's story that starts since he began buying plushies of the Internet. (the following may not be for the faint of heart) The first time Erik Mouse starting buying plushies over the Internet was back in early 1998, when he spotted a TTA plushie on eBay. He registered as jerrymouse, but later to have his eBay reputation damaged by trolls and one that stole a three foot Dizzy Devil plush from him that he rightfully won. How was the three foot Dizzy Devil plush stolen from Jerry Mouse. Good Question! The troll (a.k.a. yakkowarner), had the seller send it to him instead to Jerry Mouse.

Anyways, Erik Mouse was collection plushies by finding them on the Internet. While he was innocently collecting plushies, he became a victim of a scam spam and a forgery on the desert storm guestbook. In which Erik Mouse and his site has nothing to do with desert storm. When things couldn't get any worst, someone turned an auction Erik Mouse started into something that violates eBay's user agreement and got him suspended off of eBay. Later, Erik Mouse was a victim of a Brunswick Stew on eBay's user board. It was the real Brunswick Stew, and not some code word. So, please tell that to John Urie as I will be telling you the reason later on.

One day, Erik Mouse was met by this lady who deals with scammers on eBay, named Sandra List, who was known as the*genuine*cyberyenta on eBay. She has helped Erik Mouse deal with many scammers and had cut the problems down to a minimum. Later, Erik Mouse found out the Sandra List was suspended from eBay because yet another user, sneakydave, did something to her ID to get her suspended. The question here is, What is eBay coming to with the suspending? And, later sneakydave was suspended because of some type of illegal conduct. Is this a decent resolution to a problem between Sandra List and sneakydave from a company that prides itself on not getting involved? And was the suspension of Jerry Mouse really necessary? If you believe what eBay did was wrong, write to them.

And later, Erik Mouse was met by another friend named David Gannon a.k.a. Edmond Bunny, who got the name, Edmond Bunny, and permission to use it from Erik Mouse. Edmond Bunny tries to help, but tends to not get involved. And, Sandra List continued helping Erik Mouse until about four months ago, when Erik Mouse lost contact with her. And, beware. sneakydave is a big time company whose URL is <http://www.sneakydave.com>. Don't be consumed by that it appears to be an innocent hosting provider, sneakydave is an evil empire.

Months after Erik Mouse lost contact with Sandra List, scamming part II starts. It started on the <alt.fan.furry> forum where Erik Mouse posted a link to his fanfic called Toon Navigator. I think that you will find a copy of Toon Navigator on the "Fanfic's you can't find anywhere elso" on <http://www.terra-online.com>. And, then about three know-at-alls on alt.fan.furry decide to make a big deal out of what Erik Mouse has posted, and then responded to as another name. They were Random Loggins, Stuka Fox, and Sonny Windstrup. At this time, Sonny Windstrup is still a more of a pain as Elmyra Duff on TTA. Earlier today, I have send a message to Sonny Windstrup's provider, UUNET. I got a message back from them that it is being forwarded to their proper department.

If you want to send something to them related to the problem with Sonny Windstrup (so...@uu.net), make sure you include trouble ticket number UU1381903 as that was the number I got. Or, if you want to send somthing to me that can help me out with the problem with Sonny Windstrup, make sure include trouble ticket number KM-SW-001 in the e-mail. I have decided to number problems so I can keep track of them. While Erik Mouse was on alt.config, asking for a new newsgroup, he got three others rejecting it. They were Oliver, hawk...@mindspring.com (Hawk), and dene...@deepthot.aurora.co.us (Jay Denebeim). Anyways, I think the problem has died down with Random Loggins and Stuka Fox, but I have found that a few other users,
cust...@webtv.net (C. James Winston), kevin...@worldnet.att.net (Cerulean),  t...@rcs.urz.tu-dresden.de (tobias b koehler), ak...@teleport.com (Akai),
bigbl...@pironet.de (BBF), kell...@netcom12.netcom.com (Scott Kellogg), have gone into talking about the Brunswick Stew over again. Erik Mouse has asked them to stop, but they wouldn't. This mess has caused John Urie (jtu...@earthlink.net) to bail on me once again for his misunderstanding.

Doing some research on Deja.com, I have found that Random Socko (sph...@crl.com) is probably responsible for this message called "Erik McDarby's perversion caught on film" because he was using the name Erik Mouse. It is a message that is highly in abuse to my Kingdom of Miracles and its inhabitants. The Kingdom of Miracles and anything related has nothing to do with sexual content and never will.

Anyways, Recently, you may know that John Urie had me to Cease & Desist in the creating of Wishing Stone because of his Mercury Marten character vitaly in it. That means fan stories, and anything else based on John Urie character. For a synopsis of recent events, read the below post by Erik "Mouse" McDarby of Mouse Underground Resistance Movement (MURM).

In the meantime, I encourage all supporters of Erik Mouse's FanFics to do the following:

  • WRITE! -- Let John Urie know what you think of him asking Erik Mouse to Cease & Desist on his FanFics, whose only "crime" is that he happens to like Warner Bros. cartoon characters. Letters can be more effective than boycotts. A polite, but firm comment should be sent to: John Urie (jt...@earthlink.net).
  • WRITE 2! -- Let the above list of abuses know what you think about them abusing Erik Mouse, whose only "crime" is that he happens to like collecting Tiny Toon Adventure plushies. Letters can be more effective than boycotts. A polite, but firm comment should be sent to the e-mail addresses of the above abusers.
  • STAY TUNED TO THIS PAGE -- The situation is very much in flux and I'll try to post updates as soon as I get them.

THANKS!

"Of course you know, this means war." -Bugs Bunny

In the meantime, Erik Mouse has started the organisation, "Mouse Underground Resistance Movement", to serve both as a unified voice for fans of Erik Mouse's fanfics to protest actions taken by John Urie, as these actions violate the rights and provisions granted to Erik Mouse, both Constitutionally and under the U.S. Copyright Laws, as determined by the Rose-Acuff/2 Live Crew case (USSC, 1994), as "parody". MURM currently does not have a home, and one goal MURM wants to do right off is have a web-based petition against the legal harassment by the above abusers, and to assert the rights already granted to fan artists & writers.

The action taken against my Wishing Stone may affect my Toon Navigator, as John Urie does not recognise a difference based on content. We do feel that John Urie has the right to object, but not the right to demand removal because of content and what the above abusers are doing. This is censorship and harassment. I plan to get the EFF and ACLU involved very soon.

BTW, MURM has an open membership: whether you agree with the fanstories that are being attacked or not, anyone can get a membership simply be asking. :)

I believe I told you that;

A. I had changed my mind and that you could
now use Merc in a story if you wished.

B. That I would not rescind permission a second
time, no matter what happened.

and I will not. You may still use him if you wish.

I don't break my word Erik! Not even to you!

But don't push me! There are a lot of promises
I DIDN'T make, Erik.

For example I NEVER promised not to write
a tta fanfic entitled "Brunswick Stew!"

I don't care if you're Santa Claus - and please, feel free to have me "aliased
out."

Look at the headers line you posted and tell me why *you* and your furry
friend are cross-posting to Hell and back - and why I shouldn't be sending all
of Erik's inappropriate cross-posts to ab...@enter.net

Or, explain to Erik why he's getting short shrift and that he needs to knock
off the cross-posting.

Last possibility, of course, is to take a flying leap. I don't much care
which choice you make - I'll still be in the anti-spam newsgroups. And master
of several domains.

YOU do the math.

Which, incidentally, happens to be UUNET IP space. So unless "Erik" and

Gotcha! Actually I can't help posting this to aneas. If I post it on att

to or not. Anyway won't bug you any more. I've seen some of the

Technically, no. He did say "send a polite note." However, the discussion
appears to be about copyright, and thus in itself, is not a spam issue.
Please confine the discussion to appropriate newsgroups.

That you would have to file with his ISP. It's up to them to decide what, if
any, action should be taken.

Be advised that ISPs are NOT common carriers, so if there is a copyright
issue, the ISP is jointly liable for a user's copyright infringement(s),

Sneakydave, the commonly quoted saying is:

There are three sides to every story, your side, my side,
and the right side.

does this mean you are conceding that Erik Mouse is 'right' ??

Listen, Sharon. The only way you are going to get this thread out of AUK, is
that you tell Hawkster to put a sock in it. He is getting nowhere harrassing
me. It appears that all hes doing is net abusing AUK, and the only other way
to deal with it is if you were to post a message to
alt.current-events.net-abuse.spam, and see if someone there knows how to get
a rid of an AUK crossposting Hawkster.

Yesterday you claimed NANAU was a 'flame retardant' newsgroup, as for
AFE it doesn't even have a charter or record of a contol message at isc.org
nor is it on my server, if it's piggybacking there I suggest YOU trim the

Crossposting is a good thing. I don't want to get rid of Hawk. I
allready know what to do with net abusers. If I should ever need help,
I would get it from nanau. You *do* need help in learning what is/isn't
net-abuse...you can find it here:

Erik has a better grasp of the language than RtS, and about the same grip on
reality.

Well his campaign to get me kicked off the internet still hasn't worked,
he's
trying to convince alt.stop.spamming that I'm a spammer now, so I'd have
to say no, not very effective.

[shrug] what difference is there between Erik and RtS, or Wollmann
other than someone started a sympathy campaign for Erik by saying
he has a 'disorder' all three show signs of problems, megalomania, the
inability to grasp reality, paranoia etc. etc.

Hate to tell you this, and you probably won't see it anyhow, but it's NOT
x-posted to the tiny toons group. "alt.config,alt.usenet.kooks,alt.fan.erik"

We don't have to "shut up", it very much has a point where you are

Of course, the reason you and Hawk are posting this crap to me is that you
both are mentally ill. Please seek some help. Oh, and BTW, there is a
newsgroup being proposed on alt.config for the collection for Hawk's
therapy, called alt.therapy.for.hawk Maybe I should tell them to start a
collection for your therapy for your mental illness. And, call this group,
alt.therapy.for.phoenix

Gee, now that makes sense now, after I said that. Will both of those
newsgroups newgrouped, you and Hawk will be birds of a feather with a
therapy newsgroup of your own. I hate to have gone through that, but you
were starting to be as anonying as Hawk. I didn't want it to be this, but
you are bringing this on yourself as you speak.

To make this more clearly, Hawk had crossposted this to AFE, a toon
newsgroup that has nothing to do with AUK. But, then you have started to
reply to his mentally illness in the AUK newsgroup. Which, in term, started
to make it appear to have the same problem as Hawk. If you wish to have me
stop posting to AUK, then tell Hawk to stick a sock in it if he crossposts
to AUK and AFE.

Then, when he shuts the fuck up, then you won't have to deal with Erik Mouse
posting to AUK. If he doesn't want to shut the fuck up, complain to his ISP,
rather than to flame Erik Mouse when and if Erik Mouse replies. Flaming Erik
Mouse gets you nowhere, and you know it.

I don't want to remove your Internet Access. So, I ask you to tell Hawk to
knock off the x-posts and shut the fuck up. It is really him that is
starting this mess, no me. I was just innocently posting to AFF, when he
showed his face and turned AFF into a war zone.

WTF is Hawk's problem picking on innocent posters, then crossposting to
unrelated newsgroups? Well, if anyone can answer that, then you know what to
do with him. Have his Internet Access revoked. Goto:
http://welcome.to/heathcliff-boycotts

And, will you please leave me alone with you silly flames. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Erik McDarby
