Hello:
My dad is a HUGE Elvis fan and because of that I am now also an Elvis fan
even though I grew up after his death.
Anyway, I was playing around on the internet and came across what is known
as the laughing versions of are you lonesome tonight. I have found two
different versions of this. In one version Elvis sings " the worlds a
stage and each must play a part, fate had me playing, bla, bla, bla plus
tax." In another version Elvis sings "do you gaze at your bald head and
wish you had hair?" In this version he is unable to stop himself from
laughing which is the funniest thing of all. His laughter is
infectious.
Below are the links to both versions. So here are my questions.
First, does anyone know at what concert he was playing when he made the
bald head remark?
Second, Does anyone know if it is available on video?
Third, you can see that someone has spliced together the "gaze at your bald
head and wish you had hair" video. It's not that bad but i would love to
see the real thing if possible. At that point in his career they were
taping every concert so there must be a version floating around out there
somewhere.
"Elvis Presley - Are You Lonesome Tonight (Famous Laughing Version 1977)"
"THE SHOW CONTINUES ARE YOU LAUGHING TONIGHT FUNNY LIVE AT THE LAST
FANTASAY CONCERT"
Thanks everyone.
Any information would be VERY helpful!!!!
