I was real until 1982. It was at this time the alien Tan came to me
in a dream and said Elton John died in 1976 immediately after the
release of Blue Moves.

I am a fan even if he stops producing music. However, I think he has
proved to continue to produce "fantastic" music even at an older age.
So much for those who believe your creativity lowers with age.

Like to say I am but I am newbie on this news group. First started to follow
elton when I was 10 (remember seeing the I'm still standing video
on TV bck in 1983 and thinking wow. Gradually started buying hi singles over
the next few years. My first album I brought was Reg Strikes back when it
came
out in 1988 then followed by an old album released in 1980 by K-Tel "Elton
John greatest hits. After which I then started getting into his earlier
stuff.

The very first cassette tape I brought (when I was first into Elton's Music)
was a tape of Elton John's hit's covered by a "Richie Dennis" Tape (c) date
1984 released by Chevron I didn't look at the tape too closely in the shop,
I just saw the I'm still standing song on it and brought. Wasn't till I got
home I realised
that it was a cover ! Has anyone every heard of Richie Dennis? The Catalouge
no. of the tape is CHV 295. Still I still enjoyed the tape though.

First album purchased with my own money at age 9-10--Goodbye Yellow
Brick Road in 1973. I believe it was $7.77 or $7.99 since it was a
double album. Paid scalper prices ($32 for a $16 ticket) to see him
at Pine Knob in 1982. Heck, $32 would barely cover a snack at a
concert these days.
