out I was from L.A., we chatted for about 10 minutes. Lovely person.

Shock and sadness here. Aside from Elton, Guy was the one member of

Guy took time for fans. I met him in Atlantic City in 1990 after
Elton's Taj Mahal gig. He was hanging out with Jeannie White (Ryan
White's mother). He was friendly and took the time for photos and a
beer !

When I heard the news, I was in disbelief......Guy would see me up in the
front at concerts and always nodded his head a ''hello'' and smile his sweet
smile. He completed the band in my opinion. He will be missed more than he
can ever imagine.

I met him after a concert once in 1993 and we talked for hours ....chit
chat. He joked about Saturday Night Live skits and he told me he was having
a blast on ''The One'' tour during that time. I had the chance to say hello
to him again at the 1st East End Lights expo in Atlanta in 1994. He
remembered me from the year before and autographed my F2F program....''nice
to see you again Lynn''.....

Guy was a doll.

My sincere condolences to the entire Babylon family.

Guy was so talented. Over the years, he really elevated the standard
at Elton's concerts. His re-creations of the arrangements (and
reinventions) to Elton's songs was amazing. Nothing sounded canned or
fake. He also did so much work on Elton's musical and film
soundtracks. He's irreplaceable. Condolences to his entire family.

When I checked this NG this morning and saw that there was 26 new messages I
hadn't read I thought the NG had sprung to life...until I noticed it was the
same two messages posted over and over and over.

P.S. I'm still in shock over Guy's passing. It's too bad casual EJ fans
probably have no idea of how talented he was and how much work he did for
Elton other than being a band member.

I've been thinking the same thing. Who was the guy that filled in for Guy a
few years ago when he was doing some finishing work on Lestat? He might be a
possible replacement as Elton and Davey must have thought highly enough of
him to use him in concerts. I know this will never happen but it would be
great if they could James Newton Howard to join the band. That would be the
ultimate solution for Elton, Davey and us fans as far as I'm concerned.
