The UK TV advert for Elite. On and off, I've been looking for this for
-years- and the 25th anniversary has prodded me vaguely back into
action. From memory, it was pretty awful and didn't show the game in
any real way. A boy, possibly wearing a space helmet, and every so
often a tentacle appeared and he had to wipe it out of the way. The TV
just showed the star field, no real gameplay at all.

Am -sure- I remember seeing this. It might also be the original source
of the "less a game, more a way of life" quote for Elite but I could be
imagining that. Youtube draws a blank, and either my search-fu is weak
or this really isn't all that simple to find.
Does anyone at least remember the advert? Anyone got a copy or a link?
