Folks, every now and then some nutcase posts a totally
fraudulent message in the Google Groups and sometimes
it takes quite a while for us here in the Bot Room to separate
-- and eliminate -- the true story from the phony.

Apparently it has happened again and we request your kind
assistance in helping us determine which of the following
two stories is legitimate and which is an insult to our
intelligence.
