I agree. The colored versions seem to have a certain flair the b&W pics
somehow lack. It is as I said, rare to see an artist do better at
colors than b&w, but I think we have it here.

Not that I know of. Most of my Final Fantasy drawings come from the games.
I've heard that the FF Movie won't have much in the way of mystical
creatures.

I always associated it with the battleship myself. I assumed the whale was
called Bismark because it's a whale and therefore big :-) and it's also got
a powerful attack. The only other Bismark I can think of is the city in
North Dakota.. and for some reason a whale and North Dakota just don't seem
to connect ;-D

Ah.. now that.. There's a funny thing about that picture. I drew that pic
as sort of a sarcastic answer to the predominantly Fundamentalist Christian
views of dragons being evil. However... notice what the dragon is
holding. A cross. A Christian symbol. The Dragon is doing damage in the
name of God, not of the Devil. I view it as an abstract representation of
damage and distruction, evil and death, dealt in the name of a God that's
supposed to be all-loving.
I suppose you have to view that picture in a mindset of.. "Ok.. Dragons are
evil, eh? How about this?" That I was back when I had one too many
questions of "Are you a Devil Worshipper?" when I wore my dragon shirts and
pendants to school and what have you.
> Otherwise, as a Catholic, I wouldn't protray myself as a dragon.... :/
Wouldn't blame you. Dracopocalypse is Dragon-Friendly. Trust me, I'm friend
to all of them :-).

You know.. in all honesty, I'm not sure *what* Tritoch is. Although, I can see the
gryphon aspect. I was thinking he's a wyvern, but I suppose he could very well be
a gryphon. Ah well, that's what art is. It's open to interpretation. Tritoch is
what you think he is :-)

Otto von Bismarck was Chancellor of the Germany Empire from 1871 to 1890,
having a career in politics and the military before that. He was the architect
of the German unification in the second half of the 19th Century.

Uh.. yeah, that's all well and good, but I'd hardly think that the Bismark whale
was named after the guy the battleship was named after, but the Battleship itself.

Do you mean 'how much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could

If that is the case, then the answer is 'a woodchuck could chuck chocks of
wood, if a woodchuck could chuck wood.' :8)

That's more of a recent thing, though its roots are deeper in that he once
witnessed a bad traffic accident when young and this resulted in him being
unable to drive (and now that he's lost the use of his legs it would make it
a lot more difficult). However he does use motorcars - he has a driver - so
I'm not altogether sure he is that serious about wanting to be rid of them.

Deep down inside, probably not...But that was the answer I heard on Hollywood
Squares. (I know, I know! I watch too much TV!) {:8p

I wouldn't go so far as calling it a 'quality' program... And the host is what I
would call a 'snob'!{:8p

Given Ray Bradbury's dislike of 'popular' television - and game shows
especially, I think he'd be rather mortified about the above. :8)

...but that's all part of the appeal of the show. :8)
