Zifnab, on the other hand, is a rather befuddled old wizard under the
copyrights of Weis and Hickman.
Of course, neither of these bears any legal resemblence to ZANFIB ... a rather
befuddled old wizard character in Weis & Hickman's new Nightsword book due out
this May.
I hope this clears things up a little.

If I remember correctly, its Gandalf. Gandalf was the wizard in the Lord of the
Rings books. He's a pivotal character in all four of those books.

"I know. I know you can fight,
but it's our wits that make us men."
And whats Gandalf doing in DeathGate?
Lance
Gandalf is not in Death Gate. It's just the fact that Zifnab mentions Gandalf
along with Merlin and Raistlin. It's funny. Especially when he wants to name
the elven ship; He tries to name it the Enterprise or the Millenium Falcon.
Great humor on the author's part.

The same thing Tanis, Raistlin, James Bond, Luke Skywalker, and a dozen other
people are doing in that book. Zifnab is kinda not all together upstairs, and
its explained more in the last few books.
Yeah, he is quite a character. He mentions the Millenium Falcon and the
Enterprise. I also recall of his dragon mentioning the land of Pern. Elven
Star was a good book. I'm currently half way through Fire Sea.
