My take on book covers for the Hitchhiker’s Guide to Galaxy

Stumbled on to this forum from Douglas Adams website. Seems to be spam-
infested, but will hazard a post. I got annoyed with all the formal
book covers for the Hitchhiker series which, if not nothing, is a
celebration of absurdity and intelligence. So here is my illustrated
take on the book covers:

I gotta say, your HHGG and SLATFATF match the story quite well.
I'm less sure about the other one though. I'm wanting more of a fancy
restaurant with weird stuff on the tables. The moon and teacup doesn't
quite do it for me.

Crossing TX, NM, AZ and CA on I-10, I saw that where there are no lights

The spam rate here seems to fluctuate, and we're unfortunately in a
bit
of a deluge right now. Still, certain moneyboxes are being well fed.
In general, we outpost the spam most of the time, but it can look a
bit
overwhelming since spamers don't post in threads.
Bit unpolite of them, I think.

I do like to hear about stuff like this. And I like your covers too.
IMHO, are better than the recent ones which came out for the new
(6th) book!
For my own taste, I hold most dearest the original Pan paperback
covers of the first three books. I can't explain why except that
they're just the versions I was introduced to the series with.
Do you have covers (or ideas thereof?) for the other books?

I gotta say I don't think afda spammers get the spam principle, you're
supposed to fool people into reading your spam, looking at the afda

It's pretty obvious which are the spam and which the legitimate posts,
who would anyone read a post with over two dozen tildes?
I think there's actually *no* spam whatsoever on afda, as for
encrypted messages from alien Teh puppet masters to their terran
peons, well that's another story....

Maybe I should punish the tilda subject line poster by ignoring all
further chaff from them.
My new motto: It takes spam to make a coin drop in the pink piggy bank!
I gotta say though, subject lines like "pop art" and "oil pulling"
make me want to do something... The dadaesque nature of the concept
seems to demand it.

Tian: The tea was supposed to be the main point (Arthur trying very
very hard to make a decent cup of tea).

I have unfortunately not read anything else by Douglas Adams (I have
to revisit Mostly Harmless) to draw any other illustrations for book
covers. But I am very happy to see such encouraging comments here!

I found that for the book title and "pan" in google image search came
up pretty good
(once you know the idea of what you're searching for anyway :)
If you're taking suggestions, I'd be most interested to see what your

Pretty good. Like Nemo, I love the original Pan covers, but yours do
have that similar sort of style.
