An article about WW I.
The Germans expected France to be defeated in 42 days.
Also, in Rossieres[2] the Germans took 42 hostages.

[1] There's "old stuff" in my house.
[2] Can't name the country in this group.

The way I understand it, there's nothing really wrong with the country
except that they chose to name it with that gruesome word that every
right-thnking person would not even consider daring to utter (except
perhaps gratuitously in a serious screenplay, or for some rather shady
types if they are _really_ pressed).
