Imus was talking to whoever about the Texas fertilizer plant
explosion. The guy just had to say war zone. I bet the majority of
armed service veterans haven't actually seen bomb or artillery damage.

A large percentage of today's soldiers are retiring with PTSD
disability. Must have been near bombs going off.

That and the fact they can't get jobs when they come back.

Nobody else can get jobs either. Everybody is going on SSD, workman's
comp or some other source of disability pension. I've heard for every
18 people working there is one on SSD. Also, 90% of New York cops
retire on disability. We've truly become an entitlement nation.

You got your Social Security check this month, right Frank?

Of course, Numby and so did you. I paid for it by working over 40
years. Calling SS an entitlement is a misnomer.

So then why does the right wing keep assaulting the program and trying
to cut benefits in one way or another?

Think I'll go out and argue with one of my fence posts. It won't answer
but it won't act stupid ;)

Good idea! A fence post is on your level, too.

Maybe they heard one too many My Pillow commercials.

If that's the case, maybe I'll apply too.
