Hi,

I was worried I would have problems downloading the Devo tunes that
came with my ticket purchase to the SF shows but it went just fine. I
love hearing these earlier than early versions of "three demos
recently uncovered in the DEVO vaults. ...unreleased versions, (of)
"Whip It," "Red Shark" (later re-titled "it's Not Right" and recorded
with different lyrics), and "Turn Around."

There may come a day when it's time for Devo live shows to pack it in
but I don't think it's time yet. The SF tix were $58 with all the
fkucharges tacked on. I did not pony up the additional $75 for a
"meet&greet." I was fortunate to meet Devo at a past show and I just
get all tonguetied like an idiot skoolgirl meeting Justin Timberlake.
Nobody wants to see that.

Speaking of packing it in, this could be my last live show attendance
anyway cuz I'm closing in on "old as fk" myself! If you see woman down
front and think to yourself "She's kinda old for this stuff" that's
probably me.

Enjoy the shows, Spuds!

Duty now!

A dumb question - At these shows will they be playing other songs
before/after the specified album, or just the album?

Have you considered that maybe you're only too old to be hanging out
down front? There's plenty of room in the rest of any venue for those
who don't have the stamina for shoving, sweating, and slamming!

Dear Dr.S,

You put that so tactfully!

And yes, it is true. My plan is I will start out down front cuz I
LOVELOVELOVE that DEVO show. Then if I find that I am getting too much
contact sports, I will make my way back.

I've always found that I manage ok with the DEVO crowd. At metal
shows, I head for the seat right away.

See u there,

Oh, I think it's more about an excuse to get out some aggression. If
it helps keep them from beating someone to a pulp, I can work around
it. If it stays localized to one area. It's been going on so long now
I don't think it can be stopped.

I don't remember it being a big issue at DEVO shows anyway. Some
shoving and sweating, sure, but not much slamming.

Hope you enjoy the show,

It still can be now. True De-Evolution at work. A very well known
spudess from SF got injured by an unknown Mongoloid during the east
coast tour last year two lots of knee surgery later she might be only
just fixed up.

Certain members of the band do notice this crap and I have seen the
concern showing on their faces. Particulary Bob1.

Thanks for the heads up about this numbskull activity. I hope your
friend spudess is doing ok now.

Yes, some do take their de-evoluting way too seriously or they are too
stoopid.

Can't wait for the SF shows this weekend!

Well, Wayne, if you have a special I Told You So Dance you may begin
now.

At the DEVO Show in SF on Fri nite some MONGOloid/A-holes mowed me
down and I was nowhere near the front nor any people dancing or
stumbling around drunk. They came from out of nowhere at highspeed.
Luckily, it was during the encore, specifically, "Gates of Steel." I
fell on my back/ass and banged my head on the wall. I'm glad there was
Rock Med people on duty. They gave me an ice pack and checked my
vitals. I took some pain pills and I was ok Sat morning. The Rock Med
woman helped me get an actual seat for the Sat nite show so I didn't
have to be in the crowd. I'm glad my noggin wasn't cracked and I got
to see both shows cuz Sat nite there was Beautiful World in the encore
and BojiBoy put in an appearance!

I hope you get to go to the shows near you? It really was a wonderful
awesome two special nites with DEVO. It's a week later and I'm still
getting "flashbacks" of various moments in the show. I liked when BOB
1 was playing some entrance music for B-Boy but he wasn't showing up
and BOB 1 was laughing and playing and checking backstage. It was
pretty funny, imagine what must've been going on back there! TOO MUCH
DEVO FUN!!!
