Well, just to see something in this newsgroup (contributions have been
SPARSE lately), I just dug out my dissertation from 1986 and the title of
Chapter 4 is:
The Lagrange Multiplier Technique
Catchy, huh? Of course, this was an Honour's thesis and not a doctoral
thesis and so the title is less than a thousand words long:
