We've all been dancing around it -- that's right, the question: Where is
Damone? I'm in the bar, I'm drinking, but it's like I have to serve myself...
Such an odd drinking experience! Where is our beloved bar tender? People keep
saying: when Damone gets back... but from where? Sweet Damone, where be you?
Yarrr, come back to us!

he's smart enought not to read stupid-ass posts such as this one.

I dunno about the rest of you, but I think it's only fair that Damone supply us
with a signed note from home when he will be absent for any extended period of
time. <giggle>

i wouldn't blame him if he's abandoned this place... now would be a good time
as any. if he did, he has better will power than i. something draws me
here, yet i can't figure out what.

this newgroup has had its share of highs and lows, and most usually, the
summertime is usually the low.

eh well. i'll just keep coming in here scratching my head, leaving, and doing
it repeatedly.

I know, I'm wondering where he is too... I had to lean over the
counter and pour my own mug of Guiness today, dammit, that ain't
right. *Shaking empty bowl patheticaly and whining* We're out
of beer nuts! I would also give my soul for a good Al Bell post.

I go away for a little bit, and I have people starting threads and
emailing if I'm still alive.

The deal is this: I've gotten a promotion at work that has taken
up a lot of my time getting up to speed, plus I'm in the middle of looking
for a new apartment, plus I've been spending most of my weekends (when I
tend to catch up on the newsgroup) away. I've been reading everything and
keeping up the page, but I haven't had the energy to keep up posting.
Granted, there is not much I can add to these sad threads about Conan's
virginity that hasn't already been driven into the ground.

As to the show, I've been pretty dissappointed in it since Andy
has left. There isn't really anything about the quality of the show that
has gone down, but it seems to me that they are completely floundering on
the chemistry. Basically, one half of the give and take of the show is
gone, and they are acting now like absolutely nothing has changed. They
are doing the same deskchats, and the same bits, but they aren't changing
anything about the way they did it when Andy was there, just using what I
call "Andy substitutes" for everything. Frankly, it feels pretty tacked
on. Now I was used to the Andy-Conan chemistry more than most because
I've been watching the show for longer, but it seems to me that not
addressing Andy leaving in some radical way is more disrespectful to Andy
and more detrimental to the show in the long run than what they are doing
now.

Ahhh, I don't know about you guys, but this is what I've missed.
Was it as good for you as it was for me? I need a smoke.

IT's good to hear from you again, Damone.
Yes, there have been too many sad threads, due to the
usual mid-summer depression around here, and a bit
of remorse about Andy being gone and sorely missed
during some parts of the show.

Good luck on the new job and finding an apartment
and tell Al Bell we've been wondering about her too.
