A sniffer dog that went missing in action after a battle in
Afghanistan has been found safe and well after more than a year in
the desert

On November 13, 1942, the Japanese launched a major effort to dislodge
the US Marinces from Guadalcanal and Tulagi.

One time, probably in 98 or so, I bruised a nerve in my elbow, and had
extreme weakness in my left hand for a month or so.

Sometimes called tuckpointing, s'when brick walls get old, and the
surface of the exposed mortar crumbles away, so to keep your wall from
falling over, you mix up some new mortar, put it on the back of the
point of a trowel, and tuck it back in there.

For every person on the earth, there are two hundred million insects.

NASA has posted a notice on their website saying that the world will
NOT end in 2012.

negative x positive = negative (and positive x negative, of course)
negative x negative = positive

absentmindedly shot someone in the face?

One winky should be enough for any man.

Our dogs were always pleased to escalate.

Wow, this got all weird. Eggs, who knew?

Find your inner penguiness and chill.

Really, that's like around the world of unusual and out the other

I try to avoid yurping at breakfast.

I'd like to partake in some of the burning. I like fires.

I realize this anecdote
contains no reference to favorite Beatles' songs.

Hmmm, I'm probably the only guy in the neighborhood who can make great
mackerel and a decent gourd of yerba mate.

I am not a folk dancer, am not a fencer.

I keep thinking of Carrie in a wet dumpster.

I always liked chocolate-dipped pretzels.

I'll have to rerun my mental simulations.

I haven't done it for years either.

I'd rather shop ebay in my jammies.

Wow, does that imagery change when you take the "Fisher" context off
of it.

(It's remarkably difficult to find wet-T-shirt shots on the web from
the Star Wars dumpster scene. Searching for Leia turns up nothing but
slave girl photos. Am I the only person who finds a wet T more
interesting than a slave-girl getup?

Quite right too: it'll end some time in the next few days.

Listen, if NASA has any hand in the end of the world, we'll have lots
of extra time - and cost over-runs, too, but who cares about that?
