"Blue Days, Black Nights" was the first record Buddy recorded, in
Nashville, for Decca Records. Holly signed with Decca, in 1956, and was
scheduled to record strictly country music.

The song had minor success, and Buddy went on tour, with some major acts
in Texas......including Elvis Presley. Who appeared with Buddy, in
Lubbock. Also, recorded in this session, was the original (country)
version of "That'll Be The Day", "The Holly Hop" (an instrumental), and
the original (country) version of "Maybe Baby". All rare early
recordings.
