Like so many of you, I've spent the last few days glued to CNN and watching the devastation that hit Oklahoma. Sometimes the news is overwhelming. And sometimes it seems that we have gone from one tragic event to the next. But as I watch the news, I am also overwhelmed by the triumph of the human spirit. Whether they be in Haiti, or Japan, or Joplin, New York, New Jersey, or New Orleans, the Philippines, or Moore, Oklahoma....I am inspired by a steady stream of smiling faces determined to re-build, re-start, and carry on. Every spring, it seems, we hear about more tornadoes killing people and destroying everything they have.
So ... I don't have the heart to talk about anything frivolous today... not when people are digging through rubble of an elementary school looking for their dead children. It just tears me to pieces. Those poor babies.... more »

So, a co-worker of my husband told him her husband was in an elevator with Barry yesterday!
Her husband works in the garment district (in NYC).
Wonder if Barry was Harmony costume shopping?
The guy asked Barry if he was "Barry" and it was confirmed.
Don't know what I'd do if I ever stepped into an elevator with Barry. Probably mutter some gibberish and walk away pissed at myself. I'm so pathetic.... more »

In a few weeks Barry will have finished his 'road trip' to concentrate on Harmony and I was wondering what his band does when they are not on the road. Are they on a retainer, play for other people, or do studio session work? I remember Uncle Festive used to do their own thing when Barry wasn't touring.... more »
