Every day is a good day when it's above ground.
The way radio works is if host dont generate revenue i.e sponsors
then Host is GONE.... remember Mike Segal???
The show as is now is loosing...
A new host is in order or "halls' now !Another two months as it is
and a show wont be left..
You bet, just ask the folks who bought his codswallop about Y2k and
don't forget Heaven's Gate.

Actually, I think he makes it deeper by electronic enhancement.
I heard him interviewed once while he was visiting WABC and it was quite tinny
and higher pitched.

Yes, "The Art of Talk" will be on the reading list of every freshman
communications major for years to come...

Sarcasm is my sword, Apathy is my shield.
It's called "proximity effect", and all cardoid-type microphones have
it, to some degree. The closer a sound source is to the mic, the more
it accentuates the lower frequencies, while suppressing the higher
frequencies.
Especially that little bit in it where he admits that both he and Ramona cheated
on their spouses to be with each other. Bell loves to shoot himself in the
foot.

Sadly, I used to be a fan. I found recovery, through this newsgroup.
The book is probably the poorest written I have ever read and it
aided me in see what Bell was really all about.

You know, it might be good for a chuckle. Every now and then I try to
write a short story and end up trashing it because I don't think it
good enough. Perhaps his first attempt at literacy will inspire me to
keep trying.

Which is especially dangerous, when your foot is in your mouth.

Bell had to use a ghost writer, and it was STILL bad. Says a lot about
his life.

I don't think the people that call in are regular listeners. I think
they are just channel surfing, hear the rants of his fake guests, and
call in when they hear the phone number. Many of them call back when
they realize they've been had and are none too nice.
I think it's radio at it's best.

I wish they had him on in place of Bell here in Memphis.
